A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT OF
UP TO $100,000 FROM THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL
CONSERVANCY EXPLORE THE COAST GRANT
PROGRAM TO PROVIDE EXPERIENCES AT THE
CALIFORNIA COAST TO OLDER ADULTS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO
ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS, AND SIGN ALL RELATED
DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
WHEREAS, the California Coastal Conservancy announced the Explore the Coast grant program notice of funding opportunity on November 14, 2024; and WHEREAS, the City of Fresno (City) Parks, After School, Recreation and Community Services Department is seeking authority to apply for and accept funding to provide experiences at the California Coast to older adults; and WHEREAS, the City, if successful, will enter into a grant agreement with the California Coastal Conservancy for the implementation of grant funded programming.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:
1. Council authorizes the City Manager or designee to apply for up to $100,000 from the California Coastal Conservancy ’s Explore the Coast grant program to provide experiences at the California Coast to older adults; and
2. Council authorizes the City Manager or designee to accept grant funds, conduct negotiations, execute, submit, and sign all documents including but not limited to

applications, agreements, contracts, amendments, payment requests , and other documents which may be necessary for acceptance of the grant funding and implementation of grant-funded programming.
