RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE SPECIAL ELECTION HELD WITHIN THE CITY OF
FRESNO ON MARCH 18, 2025.
WHEREAS, on March 18, 2025, a Special Election was held in the City of Fresno, pursuant to Section 1401 of the Charter of the City of Fresno; and WHEREAS, the Fresno County Clerk has canvassed the returns of the Special Election; and
WHEREAS, based on the canvass, the Fresno County Clerk prepared and presented to the Council a certified Statement of Votes Cast setting forth the results of the election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:
1. The certified Statement of Votes Cast heretofore presented to this Council by the Fresno County Clerk is accepted and adopted as the official canvass of the returns of the March 18, 2025, Special Election held in the City of Fresno, and the Council finds, determines, and declares the results of the returns of the election as follows:
a. The whole number of votes cast in the City, the names of the persons voted for, and for what office each person was voted for, are set forth in the attached certified abstract (Exhibit A), which is on file with the City Clerk and hereby made a part hereto as if fully set forth herein.

b. BRANDON VANG, having received the majority of votes cast for the office of Councilmember for District 5, is hereby elected to that office. 3 of 3
