A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF
OFFICE FURNITURE FROM THE STATE COMPENSATION
INSURANCE FUND AND AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF GENERAL SERVICES OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE
RELATED DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, the State Compensation Insurance Fund (SCIF) has offered to donate gently used office furniture, including but not limited to, desks, chairs, filing cabinets, and workstations, to the City of Fresno; and
WHEREAS, the donation is being made at no cost to the City and is intended to support departmental needs and reduce expenditures on office furnishings; and WHEREAS, the General Services Department has assessed the items and determined them to be in good condition and suitable for City use; and WHEREAS, the City desires to accept this donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:
1. The City of Fresno formally accepts the donation of office furniture from the State Compensation Insurance Fund.
2. The Director of the General Services Department, or designee, is authorized to execute any documents necessary to complete the acceptance and transfer of the donated property.
3. This resolution shall be effective upon final approval.
