WHEREAS, sustainable waste management is a critical component of environmental stewardship and a cleaner, greener Fresno; and
WHEREAS, food establishments face unique challenges in separating organic materials from general waste due to the nature and pace of their operations; and
WHEREAS, In-N-Out, located at 5106 W Shaw Avenue, has risen above these challenges, demonstrating consistent and commendable dedication to sustainability through daily separation of large quantities of food waste for organic collection; and
WHEREAS, their leadership and commitment to proper organics recycling has set a shining example of how Fresno businesses can effectively train their teams to prioritize sustainable practices, even in high-demand food service environments; and
WHEREAS, the efforts of In-N-Out at 5106 W Shaw not only reduce landfill waste but also support Fresno’s environmental goals and inspire other businesses to follow suit.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we, Mayor Jerry Dyer and the Fresno City Council , do recognize Republic Services Organics Recycler of the Year to be:
“In -N-Out”
in the City of Fresno.
