A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, REVOKING THE DECLARATION
OF ASSESSOR’S PARCEL NUMBER (APN) 481-110-42T
AS EXEMPT SURPLUS LAND
WHEREAS, on September 1, 2022, the City Council declared APN 481 -110-42T (Property) exempt surplus land under the provisions of the California Surplus Land Act by Resolution No. 2022-196; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fresno (City) has published three separate Requests for Proposals (RFP) since that time and has only received two responses, neither of which are viable; and
WHEREAS, the city of Fresno is in a housing crisis and the disposition of publicly owned land for the construction of new housing units can help alleviate this crisis; and WHEREAS, the exemption to the Surplus Land Act as adopted pursuant to Resolution No. 2022- 196 requires that 40% of the housing units constructed on the Property be income-restricted; and
WHEREAS, the revocation is necessary due to a change in the intended disposition strategy for the property; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to shift from previously proposed development strategy and declare the property surplus to allow for broader development opportunities available to the City through the Surplus Land Act; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to revoke Resolution No. 2022- 196 as it pertains to APN 481-110-42T.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:
1. The City Council hereby revokes Resolution No. 2022-196 as it pertains to APN 481-110-42T.
2. This resolution shall be effective upon final approval.
