WHEREAS, LifeBridge Community Church was founded in 2005 by Pastor Kevin Foster with a vision to “run to the brokenness,” serving people spiritually, socially, and economically, and from its first Sunday service has been committed to meeting people where they are, both inside and outside the church walls; and
WHEREAS, over the past 20 years, LifeBridge has grown into a vibrant, multicultural congregation of more than 500 weekly attendees, including a thriving Spanish-language service, and even planted a new church 14 years ago that continues to thrive today; and
WHEREAS, in 2022, LifeBridge launched The ACTS Foundation, its nonprofit arm, to expand outreach efforts, providing tangible assistance to thousands of Fresno residents each month through programs such as the Monthly Grocery Giveaway, Senior Citizen Home Delivery, Convoy of Hope Distribution Center, and the CalAIM Program; and
WHEREAS, LifeBridge has also created spaces for community connection and support through the Buena Vista Event Center, which hosted 140 community events last year alone, offering an affordable and welcoming venue for schools, nonprofits, and local gatherings; and
WHEREAS, throughout its history, LifeBridge has demonstrated compassion and resilience in times of crisis, responding to economic downturns, natural disasters, and public health emergencies with practical support, hope, and faith in action; and
WHEREAS, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025, LifeBridge Community Church is recognized not only for its faithful service and citywide impact, but for its lasting role as a trusted partner and essential part of Fresno’s social and spiritual fabric.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we, Mayor Jerry Dyer and the Fresno City Council, do hereby recognize and honor LifeBridge Community Church on the occasion of its 20th Anniversary, commending its unwavering commitment to service, faith, and community transformation. “LifeBridge Community
