A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT OF
UP TO $500,000 FROM THE SIERRA NEVADA
CONSERVANCY’S (SNC) SUSTAINABLE RECREATION,
TOURISM, AND EQUITABLE OUTDOOR ACCESS GRANT
PROGRAM TO INCREASE ACCESS TO CAMP FRESNO
BY FUNDING CABIN REPLACEMENTS AND IMPROVING
PROMOTIONAL AND COMMUNICATIONS ACTIVITIES
FOR CAMP FRESNO (CITYWIDE)
WHEREAS, the SNC announced the Sustainable Recreation, Tourism, and Equitable Outdoor Access grant program notice of funding opportunity in summer 2025 ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fresno (City) Parks, After School, Recreation and Community Services Department is seeking authority to have the City Manager or Designee apply for funding to increase access to Camp Fresno by funding cabin replacements and improving promotional and communications activities; and WHEREAS, the City, if successful, will enter into a grant agreement with the SNC for the implementation of the grant-funded project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council o f the City of Fresno as follows:
1. Council authorizes the City Manager or designee to apply for a grant of up to $500,000 from SNC’s Sustainable Recreation, Tourism, and Equitable Outdoor Access

grant program to increase access to Camp Fresno by funding cabin replacements and improving promotional and communications activities; and
