Good day,
My name Is Michaelynn Lewis. I reside in SW Fresno and was also a member of the SW Specific Plan which as you know was passed in 2017 unanimously by members of the City Council.
The passing of this Plan was a symbol of hope for the residents in Southwest Fresno and for the City of Fresno. For once I felt like a true citizen of Fresno.
Tomorrow the rezone issue of the 92.5 acres on Elm Avenue will be put before the City Council to expand operations in that area. Not once have any of the commercial businesses in the area mentioned a concern the health and the quantity of life of those who reside, attend school or use the community center or soccer fields for recreation.
I would like you to vote against this request not only as an elected official who has concern not only for your district, but for all citizens of The City of Fresno. Keep in mind that polluted air does not remain in the same area. Thank you for your consideration.
