WHEREAS, the Bulldog Foundation was established in 1950 to serve as the athletics fundraising arm for California State University, Fresno . Its mission – supporting student-athlete scholarships and enhancing the university’s athletic programs; and
WHEREAS, in the 75 years since its founding, the Bulldog Foundation has united loyal alumni, fans, and community partners in a shared commitment to student-athlete success in the classroom, in competition, and in life; and
WHEREAS, through annual giving, major gifts, endowment support, and special events, the Bulldog Foundation has provided resources that have empowered thousands of Fresno State student -athletes to pursue their academic and athletic dreams while representing the pride and spirit of California’s Central Valley; and
WHEREAS, the Bulldog Foundation’s steadfast support continues to strengthen Fresno State Athletics, fostering excellence, integrity, and community pride throughout the region; and
WHEREAS, in 2025, the Bulldog Foundation proudly celebrates 75 years of being “ the team behind the teams,” continuing its legacy of service and dedication to student-athletes.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we, Mayor Jerry Dyer and Members of the Fresno City Council, do hereby proclaim Thursday, December 4, 2025, to be:
“Bulldog Foundation Day”
In the City of Fresno.
