Through my career with the Economic Development Corporation (Fresno County EDC) I helped business relocate to and grow in Fresno County. A readily available, skilled workforce is needed for a thriving economy. FRWDB has been successful with increasing ROI by identifying workforce and training needs through collaboration with various industries.
Understanding the workforce needs and fulfilling those needs with skilled workers contributes to the growth of our economy. We want businesses to expand and grow in County. Its vital for a healthy economy. My career has allowed me to be involved with the FRWDB. Through the Skills & Development Council, I have supported specific and enhanced training programs, including strategies and best practices for our underdeveloped workforce.
Understanding the skills needed to support our local businesses is critical. FRWDB has been successful in developing the programs needed that train individuals.
