New eComment for City Council on 2026-03-19

Germain Frank submitted a new eComment.

Meeting: City Council on 2026-03-19 9:00 AM - Regular Meeting Item: 2.-AA. ID 26-323 RESOLUTION - In Support of Criminal Facial Recognition Technology at City Hall and Direction to City Attorney to Seek a Court Order eComment: I don€™t think facial recognition is necessary. I€™m a black man and I know some of these systems are known to have bias against people of color. I dont want to be profiled by a robot if I need to pay my water bill at city hall. I ideally don€™t want to see sex offenders anywhere near city hall but I don€™t think there is much you guys can do to prevent one from entering if they live in Fresno. If the city of Fresno has a budget issue then I don€™t think it makes sense to use city money to pay for research that will show they can€™t do much. I just don€™t think this is a good law (as a black man and someone who doesn€™t want to waste money)
