A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPLY FOR AND ACCEPT
A GRANT OF UP TO $180,000 FROM THE FRESNO -
MADERA AREA AGENCY ON AGING TO FUND FISCAL
YEAR 2027 SENIOR HOT MEALS PROGRAMMING
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the Fresno-Madera Area Agency on Aging (FMAAA) will release a grant to fund Senior Hot Meals Programming in fiscal year (FY) 2027; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fresno (City) Parks, After School, Recreation and Community Services (PARCS) Department is seeking authority to have the City Manager or designee apply for and accept funding to fund Senior Hot Meals programming in FY 2027; and
WHEREAS, the City, if successful, will enter into a grant agreement with the FMAAA for implementation of grant-funded senior hot meals programming.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Fresno as follows:
1. Council authorizes the City Manager or designee to apply for a grant of up to $180,000 from the FMAAA to fund Senior Hot Meals programming; and
2. Council authorizes the City Manager or designee to accept funding, conduct negotiations, execute, submit, and sign all documents including but not limited to applications, agreements, contracts, amendments, payment requests, and other documents which may be necessary for accepta nce of funding and implementation of

3. This resolution shall be effective upon final approval.
