Subject: Strong Support for Community Investments in Fresno Date: Monday, June 15, 2026 3:53:36 PM

Dear Fresno City Council,
My name is Germán Quiñonez, and I am a Fresno resident and community development professional who has spent my career working to expand opportunity, strengthen neighborhoods, and improve quality of life for families throughout our region. I am writing to express my strong support for several important community investments being considered by the City.
$250,000 for the South Tower Community Land Trust facility on Fulton Street This project represents a long-term investment in community ownership, neighborhood revitalization, housing stability, and economic opportunity. The Fulton Street facility will serve as a permanent hub where residents can access resources, participate in community- driven solutions, and build a stronger future for their neighborhood. South Tower Community Land Trust has a proven track record of creating equitable development that benefits existing residents and helps prevent displacement. This investment will create a lasting community asset that strengthens families, supports local leadership, and ensures resources remain rooted in the community for generations to come.
$30,000 for the Tower District Library
Libraries are essential community spaces that provide access to education, technology, workforce resources, and lifelong learning opportunities. This investment will help strengthen a valuable resource that serves residents of all ages.
$200,000 for Casita Feliz medical services
Access to quality healthcare is critical to the well-being of Fresno families. This funding will help expand services and improve access to care for residents who may otherwise face barriers to receiving the support they need.
$2.1 million for soccer fields and park construction at Ted C. Wills Community Center Parks and recreational facilities provide safe spaces for youth and families to gather, stay active, and build community connections. This investment will create opportunities for recreation, wellness, and positive youth engagement for years to come.
Thank you for your leadership and your commitment to investing in projects that strengthen Fresno neighborhoods. Together, these investments will support healthier, more vibrant, and more connected communities throughout our city.
Sincerely,
Germán Quiñonez
With Respect,
Lynx Callaway

2. Yes, on soccer fields, maybe a pool too?

Hello Councilman Arias,
I live at and I am one of your constituents in district 3. I am asking you to support the creation of a library in the greater Tower District area. As a parent of a young child, I am acutely aware of the lack of safe community space for children in our district. Children and adults in our district need access to reading materials and educational programs to aide in their development and well being. I would also request that, if the city council decides to support a library in the Tower District, a location is chosen with care. Please, NOT next to a smoke shop or liquor store. Please choose a location with trees and shade. I appreciate your time. Thank you.
With Respect,
Taylor Fridrich

Hi there,
I am writing to express my support for any and all measures to bring a library to the Tower District. As a soon to mom, I would love nothing more than to be able to raise my daughter in a community with a library - where she could not only discover her own love for learning, but witness first hand the powerful and transformative community building place a library can be.
Thank you,
