Background (Explain the need for the procurement below.) The development of new wells within the municipal water supply system is essential to maintaining long-term performance, reliability, and production capacity. As system demands evolve, additional wells are required to ensure sufficient water output, accommodate operational changes, and provide consistent service to the community. The new PS 290A includes construction of a replacement well which is necessary to offset water production losses resulting from both recent and future destruction of multiple outdated wells in the area, including the original Pump Station 290.
