WHEREAS , McCaffrey Homes, founded in 1976 by Robert and Karen McCaffrey, is celebrating 50 years of shaping the residential landscape of Fresno, Clovis, Madera, and the greater Central Valley; and
WHEREAS , over the past five decades, McCaffrey Homes has constructed more than 10,000 high-quality homes and developed 115 neighborhoods, helping to define the region’s growth with developments marked by durability, thoughtful design, and enduring value; and
WHEREAS , the company’s legacy is rooted in the visionary homebuilding tradition of Karen’s father, John Bonadelle, whose pioneering influence helped lay the foundation for McCaffrey Homes’ commitment to excellence and community-focused development; and
WHEREAS , McCaffrey Homes has consistently elevated the standards of homebuilding through innovative practices, award-winning designs, and a steadfast dedication to customer satisfaction, ensuring its communities blend modern convenience with timeless architectural appeal; and
WHEREAS , the company has made lasting contributions to the Central Valley by creating acres of parks, installing more than 25 miles of trails, and integrating sustainable features that enhance quality of life for residents across the region; and
WHEREAS , the exemplary leadership of Robert and Karen McCaffrey has been recognized through their induction into the California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame, honoring their decades of influence and achievement in the homebuilding industry; and
WHEREAS , McCaffrey Homes has demonstrated a deep commitment to giving back, contributing over half a million dollars to local scholarships, school playground equipment, and school libraries, as well as providing meaningful volunteer and community support; and
WHEREAS , the company was honored with the 2026 Best Homebuilder award in the Fresno Bee’s Best of Central California People’s Choice Awards, marking its 16th recognition as a community favorite; and
WHEREAS , as McCaffrey Homes looks to the future, its legacy and mission continue under the leadership of Brent McCaffrey and Ash Knowlton, ensuring that the company’s values of innovation, integrity, and community enrichment remain cornerstones of its ongoing work.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we, Mayor Jerry Dyer and the Fresno City Council, hereby recognize and celebrate:
“McCaffrey Homes 50th Anniversary”
