Exempt Status: (check one)
Ministerial - PRC § 21080(b)(1); CEQA Guidelines §15268 Declared Emergency - PRC § 21080(b)(3); CEQA Guidelines §15269(a) Emergency Project - PRC § 21080(b)(4); CEQA Guidelines §15269(b) and (c) Categorical Exemption – 15312 (Class 12)
Statutory Exemption – PRC §_____________
Other _____________________
Reasons why project is exempt:

The Project is exempt under Sections 15312 (Class 12) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.

Under Section 15312 (Class 12)
– Surplus Government Property Sales, projects are exempt from CEQA requirements if they are not parcels of land located in an area of statewide, regional, or areawide concerned identified in Section 15206(b) (4). The subject parcel does not fall within such area; therefore, the sale qualifies under this exemption.

The proposed agreement would transfer title to the owner of the adjacent parcel. No development, physical improvements, or changes to the property are proposed.

None of the exceptions to Categorical Exemptions set forth in the CEQA Guidelines, Section 15300.2 apply.

Because the project involves the sale of surplus government property and there is no possibility that the transfer will result in an environmental impact, the project is exempt from CEQA under Section 15312 (Class 12).
