According to City staff,
the existing well pump
for Well 3A was removed and a
detailed video inspection
was performed
.
ENGEO, the
project
hydrogeologist, recommended the
redevelopment method
for Well 3A
which included
wire brushing, acid treatment, double swab air
-
lift
ing, pumping development, pump testing,
and disinfection.

water quality monitoring.

irect redevelopment of the well by double swab airlifting and then pumping
development. Obtaining

specific information regarding sand production during airlifting and
during the pumping tests will

formation during development.

step drawdown and constant rate pumping
tests to verify the yield and specific capacity of the well,
and measure sand production. Water quality
samples will be collected as directed by the City,
placed

chilled containers and coolers, and
delivered to the City’s water quality testing laboratory under
proper chain of

custody documentation
within 24 hours of collection.

be responsible for the water quality testing
costs.

rates.
4. Observation Services for
Replacement Pump Installation and Startup

JIG
will
perform observation

vices for the
replacement well pump i

allation including startup

functionality testing. Field
inspector will be on site
up to 40
hours
of
observation
work and will document construction activities
complete with photos with daily inspection reports.
5. Prepare Summary Report
–
Assemble
the field dat
a, laboratory test results, and prepare a report
summarizing the well rehabilitation activiti
es, redevelopment,
and pu
mping test results.
The pumping test
results will be
analyzed to determine the well yield, specific capacity, sand production , and
