PRIORITY POLICY STATEMENT

Infrastructure and City Assets.

FISCAL IMPACT
The City generates permit fee revenue to cover software related costs set aside as assigned fund balance in the General Fund. The General Fund has approximately $200,000 set aside to support permit software upgrades, support, maintenance and other related costs. The budget adjustment recommendation requests a $113,750 budget transfer from these monies set aside in the General Fund to the Information Technology Fund.

DISCUSSION
Glass Box has worked with the Community and Economic Development Department (CED) on the EnerGov software upgrade to replace a version no longer supported by Microsoft. The project consisted of approved funding for Glass Box to complete a current-state analysis of the project status when it transitioned from CED to IT. Staff has developed a work plan and completed some work with the vendor, Tyler Technologies Inc., in preparation for the upgrade implementation.

This change order to the EnerGov upgrade project would provide further funding for Glass Box to complete the system set-up, upgrade configuration, testing and training.

The Glass Box Technology Statement of Work (attached in the PSA Amendment Exhibit A) provides detailed information regarding the work to complete.
