SUMMARY
The City of Fullerton seeks to renew a lease agreement with Fullerton School District for public overnight parking purposes at Nicolas Junior High School.
RECOMMENDATION
Authorize City Manager to enter into a lease agreement with Fullerton School District
CITY MANAGER RECOMMENDATION
The City Manager recommends continuing the lease.

FISCAL IMPACT
The agreement states the City shall pay an annual rent of $1.00 for the life of the term. The 2022 Parking Lease Agreement term continues until June 30, 2025 with two additional one-year periods by mutual agreement without a new agreement needed.
BACKGROUND
The City of Fullerton has held a lease agreement with the Fullerton School District for public parking at Nicolas Junior High School 1100 West Olive Avenue, Fullerton, California since 2017 to provide on-street parking relief for residents of the Porter Avenue neighborhood.
The City renewed this agreement in 2020. The renewal term has expired and the City may consider renewing the agreement for another term.
DISCUSSION
The Fullerton School District Board approved a lease agreement with the City for public overnight parking at 1100 West Olive Avenue on September 13, 2022.
City staff seeks City Council approval to authorize the City Manager to enter into the lease agreement for parking purposes for the residents of the Porter Avenue neighborhood.
The term of this agreement begins September 14, 2022 and continues until June 30, 2025. The City may use the leased premises only for public parking purposes and will slurry seal and stripe the leased premises for parking purposes at its sole cost as needed.
