This report contains donations received and used in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-22.

This report informs City Council of donations and gifts received and expenditures from those donations.

FISCAL IMPACT
The City received $104,979.00 in donations from various donors and used $44,780.92 on intended expenditures. The City accounts for donations in separate accounts to prevent overspending and allow departments to track donations received and used.
DISCUSSION
City Council adopted Resolution No. 2020-66 on July 21, 2020, authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to accept cash donations and gifts received in Fiscal Year 2021-22. The Fiscal Services Division prepared the FY 2021-22 report which identifies donations by recipient departments and separates the beginning balances, sources, uses and ending balances. Some of the donation accounts had no activity during the fiscal year but had an ending balance. However, most of the donation accounts had activity. The donations report reflects both scenarios.
