Fullerton Kiwanis Club Youth Park Lease Extension

Dear Alice,
Thank you so much for meeting with our representatives yesterday regarding the Kiwanis Youth Park (Mr. Larry Bennett and Mr. Jim Aurelio). This email will confirm that the Fullerton Kiwanis Club is formally requesting a new 25 year lease with an option or options for an additional 25 years with the City of Fullerton. The new lease will be under the same conditions as exists today.
While we still have several years remaining on our existing lease, we make this request because we anticipate putting significant additional capital improvements into the Park. This will include a major rehab of the existing Boys and Girls Club building as well as upgrades to the outdoor areas.
As you know this property is one of the most "loved" pieces of dirt in Fullerton. The Boys and Girls Club daily run their teen program at the Park. During the evenings, the Park is used by multiple Scout Groups. The Kiwanis also make the park available for rentals to the community at large.
Our long term partnership and a new long term lease will assure that we have an appropriate time period given the significant capital improvements that will be added to this City owned lot. The existing programming that is provided without City Funds will continue to serve the Youth of our community.
