SUBJECT: CITY OF FULLERTON RESPONSE TO ORANGE COUNTY GRAND JURY REPORT – “WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD ARE CITIES RESPONSIBLY MANAGING THE INTEGRATION OF GROUP HOMES?”
SUMMARY
The Orange County Grand Jury released a report titled, “Welcome to the Neighborhood' Are Cities Responsibly Managing the Integration of Group Homes?” on June 12, 2023 with findings and recommendations requiring a response from the City of Fullerton.
RECOMMENDATION
Review 2022-223 Orange County Grand Jury report titled, “Welcome to the Neighborhood' Are Cities Responsibly Managing the Integration of Group Homes?” Approve response letter to the Superior Court Presiding Judge.
CITY MANAGER REMARKS
Staff requests approval of the attached letter which is consistent with responses from other agencies.

DISCUSSION
In the June 2023 report titled “Welcome to the Neighborhood' Are Cities Responsibly Managing the Integration of Group Homes?” the Grand Jury requires the City of Fullerton provide responses to findings F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, F8, F9, F10 and F11, as well as recommendation R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 by September 13, 2023. The attached letter details the proposed City responses.
