The City of Fullerton is requesting a new Source Capture Exhaust Extraction System (SCES) to replace the existing system that is no longer safely operable. The SCES system is a high- priority item under the Modification to Utilities section. An SCES is a system where exhaust gases from a vehicle are captured directly via a device that attaches to the vehicles exhaust pipe. The gases are then released through the conduit device to the exterior of the building, thus preventing the exhaust from being inhaled by firefighters and personnel.
