BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
OCTA, in collaboration with the Cities of Fullerton, Anaheim, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove and Santa Ana, seeks to evaluate, study and implement transit signal priority and technology enhancements along Harbor Boulevard. The OCTA OC Bus Rapid route from the OCTA Santa Ana Base to the Fullerton Transportation Center serves this corridor. The project would include approximately 60 traffic signalized intersections along the 12-mile stretch of OC Bus Rapid Route 543.

Transit Signal Priority (TSP) technologies improve public transit efficiency and reliability by adjusting traffic signal timing to favor transit vehicles. These methods reduce delays and increase the appeal of public transportation by offering a reliable alternative to passenger vehicles. The OC Bus Rapid Route 543 directly serves the Fullerton Transportation Center and these enhancements would provide benefits to Fullerton residents.

The City Attorney has reviewed and accepted the attached agreement language.
