SUBJECT: CAL CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES
SUMMARY
Cal Cities (formerly the League of California Cities) requests City Council designate a voting delegate and up to two alternates for the Cal Cities Annual Conference held October 8 through 10, 2025 in Long Beach, CA.
PROPOSED MOTION
Designate Council Members to serve as the City Voting Delegate and up to two Alternate Representatives at the Cal Cities 2025 Annual Conference.

FISCAL IMPACT
The Fiscal Year 2025-26 Adopted Budget includes appropriation for City Council travel and meetings.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
Cal Cities will hold its Annual Conference October 8 through 10, 2025 in Long Beach, CA. Cal Cities membership considers resolutions establishing Cal Cities policy at the Annual Business Meeting portion of the conference, scheduled this year for Friday, October 10, 2025.
City Council must designate a voting delegate to vote at the Annual Business Meeting. City Council may also appoint up to two alternate voting delegates. One of the alternate delegates may vote at the Business Meeting in the event the designated voting delegate cannot attend.
