Branding Reflection Effort
Branding efforts were considered based on the comprehensive response from the community. The key themes of history, culture, and Leo Fender have been incorporated into the concepts.
Selbert Perkins Design Co has worked to create unique designs that highlight these areas of interest and would help ‘trademark’ our downtown as a destination that is attractive for visitation and commerce.
Results were further narrowed down to 4 options for Council to consider and provide feedback on as we proceed with signage acquisition.

Color Scheme #2
Wayfinding Concepts
Wayfinding Conceptual Sigange Options to consider are based on Two Signage Family Types.
Option 1 – Focuses on a Blue & White Theme with Square Signage and Lattice Style Accent Marks. Dual tones of the signage and the metal highlights pay tribute to the history of the town while having a clean look and feel.
Option 2 – Focuses on a mosaic tile theme, building off existing historical architectural themes while having a slightly contoured sign program. This theme provides a more refined feel that highlights historical charm of the community.
External Agency Collaboration
City has collaborated with LOSSAN, Metrolink, and OCTA to review signage concepts for pedestrian utilization at transportation center. Convergence in signage will support rider understanding and orientation for use of the various services supporting Fullerton.
Recommendations
Provide feedback on brand/theme concepts, options #1 through #4.
Provide Feedback on Signage Family Concept #1 or Concept #2 Current Appropriations can cover one small destination gantry signage, a spanning concept may incur general fund appropriations, advise if direction is to remain within budget parameters for grant, or acquire estimates for larger spanning gantry concept and return to Council.
