BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
California Code of Regulations, Title 2, Section 570.5 – Requirement for a Publicly Available Pay Schedule, requires an employer’s governing body adopt a pay schedule. City Council adopted a resolution on June 18, 2024 regarding non-regular employee compensation. The resolution, intended to meet California Labor Code requirements relating to changes in sick leave benefits, superseded Resolution No. 2020-104 and necessitated an updated salary schedule, commonly listed as Appendix A, adopted with the new resolution. However, the new resolution did not include Appendix A due to an oversight.

Staff proposes City Council adopt a resolution to retroactively approve Resolution No. 2024-035 Appendix A to correct this oversight and meet state law requirements. This correction would have no impact on employee pay.
