This report is intended to report to City Council the donations received and for the intended uses.

FISCAL IMPACT
The City received $590,510 in donations from various donors and used $1,231,849 on eligible purchases. Staff tracks donations in separate accounts to assist department donation tracking and mitigate overspending.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
City Council adopted Resolution No. 2020-066 on July 21, 2020 authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to accept cash donations and gifts received each fiscal year and expend funds as intended. The Fiscal Services division prepared the attached FY 2023-24 donations report by department and separated beginning balances, sources, uses and ending balances. Most donation accounts had activity, however, some of the donation accounts had no activity during the fiscal year but had an ending balance. The donations report shows these accounts and activity.
