SUBJECT: WEST WILSHIRE, WOODS AND WICKETT SQUARE NEIGHBORHOOD HISTORIC PRESERVATION AREA ZONE CHANGE REQUEST – SECOND READING OF ORDINANCE
SUMMARY
City Council introduced the first reading of an ordinance to rezone properties in the West Wilshire, Woods and Wickett Square Neighborhood to create a new historic preservation area during the December 3, 2024 City Council meeting. City Council may adopt the ordinance following second reading.
PROPOSED MOTION
Adopt Ordinance No. 3334.
ORDINANCE NO. 3334 – AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FULLERTON, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A ZONE CLASSIFICATION CHANGE FROM “R-1-7.2” TO “R-1-7.2P” AND FROM “R-3” TO “R-3P” ON PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE WEST WILSHIRE, WOODS AND WICKETT SQUARE NEIGHBORHOOD, GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS THE PROPERTIES BOUNDED BY WILSHIRE AVENUE, INCLUDING NORTH AND SOUTH SIDES OF WEST WILSHIRE AVENUE FROM 529 WEST WILSHIRE AVENUE THROUGH 720 WEST WILSHIRE AVENUE, WOODS AVENUE, DRAKE AVENUE AND CHAPMAN AVENUE

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
City Council introduced Ordinance No. 3334 for as amended first reading by title only and waived further reading of the ordinance by a 4 – 0 – 1 (Absent: Whitaker) vote at its December 3, 2024 meeting. The recommended action would adopt the introduced ordinance. The ordinance would take effect 30 days from the date of City Council adoption.
