Street Sweeping Background
SP+ provides citation services

New Street Sweeping Operation
On August 6, 2024, Council voted 3-2 to implement a biweekly, alternating street sweeping operation.

New Street Sweeping Operation

Schedule change requires updating and replacing citywide signage to inform residents and visitors.
Parking Citations will be suspended during the sign replacement. Enforcement will reinitiate once all signs are installed.

*Initial additional budget required. There is anticipated reoccurring cost to remove/replace the decals every two years. The annual replacement cost is estimated to be approximately $150k-$300k.
Recommendation
Maintain previously approved bi-weekly alternating sides of the street operation and authorize staff to replace street sweeping parking signs using contracted labor (Option 3). Reinitiate enforcement once all signs are installed. Issue warnings for the first month of enforcement prior to issuing citations.
