RE: Letter of Interest for Voluntary Rate Range Program Dear Mr. Bishop:
The City of Fullerton, a governmental entity with Federal Tax I.D. Number 95-6000711, is pleased to confirm its interest in collaborating with Cal -Optima Health (“the MCP”) and the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) as part of the Volunta ry Rate Range Program. This collaboration includes providing an Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) to DHCS, contributing to the non-federal share of actuarially sound Medi -Cal managed care capitation rate payments outlined in the contract between the MCP and DHCS for the period of January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024.
This letter expresses the City of Fullerton’s voluntary commitment to support improved healthcare access and outcomes for Medi-Cal beneficiaries in our jurisdiction. Participation in this program is entirely optional, and no obligation to provide funding has been imposed by the State of California.
For Calendar Year 2024 (January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024), the City of Fullerton is prepared to contribute approximately $ X,XXX,XXX, as negotiated with the MCP. We understand that, unless DHCS approves a waiver, an additional 20 -percent assessment fee will be applied to this amount to cover administrative costs associated with the program.
