SUBJECT: ASSOCIATED ROAD – YORBA LINDA BOULEVARD TO BASTANCHURY ROAD CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 44060 COMPLETION
SUMMARY
Formal acceptance of the Associated Road – Yorba Linda Boulevard to Bastanchury Road Project completion required by the Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for projects receiving federal funding.
PROPOSED MOTION
Accept Capital Improvement Project No. 44060 Associated Road – Yorba Linda Boulevard to Bastanchury Road Project completion.

FISCAL IMPACT
The Associated Road – Yorba Linda Boulevard to Bastanchury Road Project acceptance has no fiscal impact. The City completed the project in FY 2023-24 and Caltrans requires project acceptance to close out project.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
The City received $409,362 in federal funding for eligible street construction engineering and construction costs through the Orange County Transportation Authority 2021 Pavement Management Relief Funding Program. Staff used these funds to offset Associated Road – Yorba Linda Boulevard to Bastanchury Road Project – CIP 44060 construction costs. The City completed project construction and accepted in September 2023.
The City must formally accept the Associated Road – Yorba Linda Boulevard to Bastanchury Road Project completion to close out the project and receive grant funding in accordance with the Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Local Assistance Procedures Manual.
Staff requests City Council accept the Associated Road – Yorba Linda Boulevard to Bastanchury Road - CIP 44060 contract as complete to proceed with the required federal funding documentation and prepare the Final Report of Expenditures in accordance with Local Assistance Procedures Manual Chapter 17. cc: City Manager Eric J.
