DLT Does not hold root control of any end customer linked account (s). It is the exclusive responsibility of the party who holds root credentials on the linked account (s) to (a) retain access to their own root credentials, and (b) to close or transfer the account (s) in a timely manner. The quoted party shall bear exclusive responsibility for all costs accrued in the account (s) until the account (s) is closed, or legally and operationally transferred to another AWS solution provider. Such reponsibility of the holder of the account (s) root credentials to close or transfer the account (s) in a timely manner shall in no way be abrogated by expiration of POP or accrued bills in excess of price ceilings. Furthermore, the responsibility of the quoted party to pay for utilization until the accoun is closed or transferred shall in no way be obrogated by expiration of quoted POPs or spend in excess of estimated price ceilings. Any AWS purchased from DLT is pay for what is used at the quoted discounts regardless of the original estimated price ceilings and POPs.
The instructions for closing an AWS account:
1. From the ROOT account credentials, please follow the instructions for closing down your AWS account here: https://aws.amazon.com/premiumsupport/knowledge-center/close-aws-account/. This will close your AWS account and unsubscribe you from all AWS services. You will not be able to access AWS services or launch new resources once your account is closed.
Before closing your account, please make sure you have backed up all applications / data. ***AWS will NOT be able to retrieve any data once the account is closed. ***
2. You should receive a confirmation email with the title “AWS Unified Registration Cancellation.” Please confirm to [email protected] when this email is received.
3. You will need to pay any balance that is still due to DLT. Please note that we bill monthly in arrears so there may be a slight delay in receiving your final bill.
For example, if you closed your account on July 15, you would receive your final invoice for your July utilization at the end of August.

Per AWS policy, instructions for transferring any AWS account (s) to a new solution provider including both the legal consent to assign (CTA) process and the operational transfer of accounts shall be provided by the new solution provider or from the AWS Account Management Team ([email protected]).
