BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
City Council historically cancels meetings throughout the year that fall on or close to holidays, community events and election days. Staff created a proposed 2026 City Council meeting calendar based on prior cancellation practices. Staff requests City Council consider adopting the proposed 2026 calendar to provide public notice and assist staff in preparing agenda items in a timely manner throughout the year. The calendar proposes the following cancellations:
