City Council annually reviews its Rules of Procedure and Decorum for City Council Meetings and considers adjustments to the Rules of Procedure for future City Council meetings.

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION
City Council annually reviews its Rules of Procedure and Decorum for City Council Meetings and considers adjustments to the Rules of Procedure for future City Council meetings.
City Council adopted the most recent Rules of Procedure and Decorum with Resolution No. 2025-028 on May 6, 2025. The Rules of Procedure and Decorum clarify procedural rules for City Council meeting conduct in the following areas:

Staff recommends City Council adopt the resolution to update the Rules of Procedure with the following additions:
Clarification regarding who may serve as Presiding Officer Added language referencing newly adopted Brown Act regulations Added language referencing new fiscal / financial training requirements.
