SUMMARY
Cal Cities requests City Council designate a voting delegate and up to two alternates for the Cal Cities Annual Conference held September 23 through 25, 2026 in Anaheim, CA.
PROPOSED MOTION
Designate Council Members to serve as the City Voting Delegate and up to two Alternate Representatives at the Cal Cities 2026 Annual Conference.

FISCAL IMPACT
The City Council Department budget includes funding for the Cal Cities conference.
DISCUSSION
Cal Cities will hold its Annual Conference September 23 through 25, 2026 in Anaheim, CA. Cal Cities membership considers resolutions establishing Cal Cities policy at the Annual Business Meeting portion of the conference, scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2026.
City Council must designate a voting delegate to vote at the Annual Business Meeting. City Council may also appoint up to two alternate voting delegates. One of the alternate delegates may vote at the Business Meeting in the event the designated voting delegate cannot attend.
