DISCUSSION
Staff requests each Council Member make a direct appointment to the Youth Advisory Committee for a one-year term and City Council vote to ratify the direct appointments.
Fullerton Municipal Code 2.11.020 requires a panel comprised of the Mayor or Mayor’s designee, a Council Member appointed by the Mayor and the Committee Chair or Chair’s designee – in this case, a Park and Recreation Department staff member as the Committee has not yet appointed a Chair or Vice Chair – interview remaining applicants for at-large Committee seats. Staff will agendize an item to appoint four at-large Youth Advisory Committee members recommended by the panel at a future meeting.
The City Clerk’s Office has posted the legally required vacancy notice and forwarded copies of committee applications to City Council Members. cc: City Manager Eddie Manfro
