6 Historical Significance
Developed in the hillside areas north of the original townsite, success of Upper/Lower Golden Hill changed perceptions of development potential.

Spanish Colonial Revival and Cottage-styled homes.

Most of the homes within Lower Golden Hill retain a high degree of historic integrity, and the historic district looks very much like it did in the 1920s and 1930s.

Conveys original development pattern as a single-family residential neighborhood, retaining a high level of vision association with its past.

Historical Significance (Continued)
Neighborhood includes several designated Local Landmarks and Significant Properties:

Model Home of 1927 (701 North Richman Avenue)
Clinton F. Abbot House (705 North Richman Avenue)
Suters House (621 North Richman Avenue)
Robert E. Corcoran House (600 West Union).
