GALT Thursday, November 14, 2024 6:00 p.m.
Chair Hood called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The Commissioners present were Hood, Denier, Jones, Gerling, and Rodriguez.
Staff members present: Interim Community Development Director Amie Mendes, Attorney Brandon Kline, Senior Planner Kristyn Bitz, and Associate Planner Stacy Schafer.
INFORMATION/CONSENT CALENDAR
A. SUBJECT: Minutes of the August 8, 2024 Regular Meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Commission approve the minutes of the August 8, 2024 Regular Meeting.
ACTION: Vice-Chair Denier motioned to approve the minutes of the August 8, 2024 Regular Meeting. Commissioner Jones seconded the motion. Motion passed by Chair Hood, Vice-Chair Denier, Commissioner Jones, Commissioner Gerling, and Commissioner Rodriguez.
PUBLIC HEARING:
A. SUBJECT: Elliott Ranch Unit 2 Design Review (R1C Zoned Portion) RECOMMENDATION: 1. Receive presentation; and 2. Open public hearing to receive comments; and 3. Upon closing the public hearing, recommend that the Planning Commission adopt the resolution approving the Design Review (Project Architecture) for Elliott Ranch Unit 2 (R1C Zoned Portion).
CEQA: Pursuant to Sections 15063 and 15073 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), an Initial Study was conducted to assess the potential environmental impacts of the Project, with an IS/MND prepared (SCH 2020050581). The City will implement the mitigation measures set for in Exhibit C to ensure compliance with CEQA requirements. Under Galt Municipal Code Section 18.68.040, the City's adoption of the IS/MND and Project approval provided the necessary authority for implementing these mitigation measures.
ACTION: Staff Bitz presented.
Chair Hood opened the floor to Commissioners for questions or comments. No questions are comments were provided.
Chair Hood opened the public hearing and there being no public comment, closed the public hearing.

COMMENTS BY STAFF/DIRECTORS REPORT
Staff Mendes gave the Commissioners a thorough update on the process of, the 2024 City Council election, explaining how it will affect the December 12, 2024, PC meeting.
Staff Mendes advised the Commissioners they will see the Tim Lewis Communities present architecture for Liberty Ranch Villages 3 and 4 in December. She also advised that 2025 will likely City of Galt Planning Commission Minutes Page 3 of 3

be busy on the commercial development side.
Staff Mendes and Staff Bitz also cleared up misinformation circulating on social media regarding a proposed Maverik Gas Station.
