SUBJECT: PROPOSED PLACEMENT OF SEXUALLY VIOLENT PREDATOR IN
THE GALT AREA OF SACRAMENTO COUNTY
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign a letter on behalf of the City Council opposing the placement of a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) in the Galt Area of Sacramento County for supervised release and provide further direction to staff related to the upcoming hearing on January 31, 2025 regarding the proposed SVP placement in Sacramento County.
DISCUSSION:
On December 31, 2024, the City of Galt was notified by the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office that the Department of State Hospitals has petitioned for the Sacramento Superior Court to place a Sexually Violent Predator, Christopher Dryden, at Liberty Healthcare, 12655 Hauschildt Road, Galt. The Galt Police Department, the City Manager, and City staff are adamantly opposed to this placement and are working closely with the Sacramento District Attorney’s Office to determine the best course of action to ensure that this SVP is not placed within the Galt community.
The Sexually Violent Predator Act (SVPA) (Welf. & Inst.Code, § 6600 et seq.) provides that, under certain circumstances, a person who has been committed as an SVP may thereafter be conditionally released into the community under a program of outpatient supervision and treatment. (See §§ 6608-6609.3.) The SVP must be placed in his “county of the domicile” prior to his incarceration, unless the court finds that “extraordinary circumstances” require placement outside the county of domicile. (§ 6608.5(a).) In considering such circumstances and the propriety of an out of county placement, the court must consider factors such as:
• If and how long the person has previously resided or been employed in the proposed County for placement (i.e., Sacramento County). • If the person has next of kin in Sacramento County.
Meeting Date: January 28, 2025
Proposed Placement of Sexually Violent Predator in the Galt Area of Sacramento County, January 28, 2025 Page 2 of 2
The City is not aware that any of these factors have been satisfied.
In addition, and of even greater concern to the City is that the State of California Department of State Hospitals is proposing to place the SVP at an address on Hauschildt Road, located just outside of the City of Galt city limits. This address is not within the Galt Police Department’s jurisdiction for emergency response yet it appears the Galt PD is relied upon by Liberty Health Care to justify placing him in this location. This is fatal, false premise. The unincorporated area is in fact within the jurisdiction of Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, which often experiences extended response times because patrol units do not frequently patrol rural areas such as this. This poses an imminent danger to the Galt community if law enforcement is unable to respond in a timely manner in the instance this SVP engages in inappropriate behavior.
There is also extreme concern that the SVP is proposed to be placed at an address which is approximately four miles from Robert L. McCaffrey Middle School, children grades 7–
8. Additionally, Liberty Ranch High School is just under one mile from Hauschildt Road.
Staff has grave concerns regarding the State’s proposal to place a sexual predator, known to prey on underage children within walking distance of multiple school sites.
It is important to note that the City of Galt ultimately has no control over where this SVP is placed. However, the Galt Police Department is actively coordinating with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and Sacramento District Attorney’s Office to ensure that we communicate our consequential concerns regarding this matter. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Public Alert for concerned community members to submit written opposition to the placement of this SVP in the Galt area.
Galt citizens can submit written comments by 5:00 pm, January 29, 2025, via electronic email to [email protected]. The court hearing regarding this matter is scheduled for January 31, 2025, 9:00 am.

RE: Opposition to Placement of Sexually Violent Predator Christopher Dryden Dear Judy Brody:
Thank you for soliciting and allowing the public to comment on the proposed placement of a Sexually Violent Predator just outside the City of Galt. The City of Galt respectfully submits this comment letter in opposition to the proposed placement of a recognized Sexually Violent Predator, Christopher Dryden, in Sacramento County, approximately one-half mile from the City of Galt’s territorial limits. As further described below, said placement poses a risk which the City Council and Police Chief believe is based on several, critical false premises relied on by Liberty Health Care.
First, the placement into an unincorporated area means that policing services will be provided by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, not the Galt Police Department.
Listing a response time of 9 minutes is not accurate as the police department will not respond to the subject property. The responsibility of the Galt Police Chief is to ensure that policing services are provided to the incorporated areas of Galt. In fact, any response to unincorporated areas for criminal activity or related issues involving Mr.
Dryden will only be provided by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. The area in question is patrolled by deputies assigned to District 8 which covers the southern portion of Sacramento County from the Antioch Bridge (Contra Costa County) to the Amador County line. This is a vast area which results in significantly longer response times and minimal policing coverage. This is not uncommon for rural policing models relative to urban policing models.
Second, the placement of Mr. Dryden within approximately one-half mile of the city limits, means that Mr. Dryden is within walking distance, of a nearby elementary school, a middle school, a high school, and neighborhood park facilities. Since Mr. Dryden’s prior convictions involve children, the City’s concern is for this vulnerable population. In addition, the City’s Police Chief’s observations of the property and neighborhood revealed several children on properties in view of the proposed location. In addition, Office of the City Council

there is an equestrian facility directly across the street. It is commonly known that equestrian facilities are generally used by children of different ages.
Third, access to social services and medical facilities to serve and help Mr. Dryden are inadequate or virtually non-existent without travel into the more densely populated and less rural areas of Sacramento County – into at least Elk Grove and beyond much further north. There are no urgent care medical facilities, limited social services, and limited transit options in South Sacramento County that stand ready to serve Mr. Dryden.
In short, Liberty Health Care continues to use locations analysis regarding police services which is based on false premises. The Galt Police Department will not serve this area, a fact heavily relied upon and assumed by Liberty Health Care. The police department does not in fact, have the resources to provide extraterritorial services to unincorporated areas of Sacramento County, nor is that within the Chief’s authority and charge as municipal police chief in the City of Galt. In addition, there are no relevant social services available to Mr. Dryden in this area, it is adjacent to multiple youth-related facilities, and its placement is neither in the best interest of the community or Mr. Dryden. The City Council asks that this specific proposal be denied and a more suitable location be found in a more urban setting which has more public safety, social services, employment options, transit, and amenities.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Shawn Farmer
Mayor

DISTRICT ATTORNEY' S COMMENTS
ON PROPOSED PLACEMENT
Petitioner
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
Hearing: January 3I,2025
Time: 9:00 a.m.

Respondent.
SUMMARY
On December 20,2024, the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office (District Attorney) received formal notice from the California Department of State Hospitals (DSH), pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code, section 6609.1, of a placement proposal for petitioner Christopher Dryden. The court previously ordered the petitioner to be conditionally discharged to community outpatient treatment on July 12,2024, and initiated the current placement search.
Pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code, section 6609.1, subdivision (b), the District Attorney submits the following agency comments OBJECTING to the proposed placement at 12655 Hauschildt Road Galt, CA95632. This section further states that agency comments "shall be considered by the court which shall, based on those comments and statements, approve, modiff, or reject the department's recommendation or proposal regarding the community or specific address to which the person is scheduled to be released or the conditions that shall apply to the release if the court finds that the department's recommendation or proposal is not appropriate." DISTRICT ATTORNEY _ AGH,NCY CO NT
THE PROPOSED PLACEMENT IS UNSUITABLE DUE TO NEARBY RISK FACTORS.
The court should reject the placement proposed by DSH and Liberty Healthcare (Libefiy) on Hauschildt Road in Galt because this location poses significant risk factors that put public safety at risk. The People acknowledge that the placement complies with the statutorily mandated distance from schools, and is not near the victim, and was previously used as a placement for another SVP outpatient; however, additional information received from the city of Galt, the Sacramento Sheriff s Office and further review of the prior SVP tenant shows it to be an inappropriate location to place the petitioner for community treatment' A. Proximity To Children Is A Significant Risk Factor
The overwhelming concern regarding the proposed placement is the proximity to numerous sites at which children's activities are held. Petitioner Dryden's predicate sex offenses are two 1998 convictions for committing lewd and lascivious conduct with children. As highlighted in the annual evaluations by Dr. Alisha Bent in her January 31,2023 report and Dr.
Kathleen Longwell in her May 3, 2024 rcport, the petitioner suffers from Pedophilic Disorder, non-exclusive type. In particular, Dr. Longwell concluded that this disorder caused emotional and volitional impairment, specifically citing on page 17 of her report that the petitioner ..allowed himself to cultivate his Pedophilia by placing himself near children and masturbating to thoughts of children. While at DSH-C awaiting an SVP commitment, he continued to masturbate to deviant sexual fantasies, which he found necessary to maintain his denial that he needed treatment." It is important to note that the recommendation by Dr. Bent and Dr.
Longwell that he is suitable for conditional discharge does not meanhe no longer suffers from this mental disorder; to the contrary, all evaluators agree that he still suffers from Pedophilic Disorder. Liberty Healthcare itself acknowledges that proximity to children is a significant risk factor for an SVP whose offense profile includes a sexual interest in children - in an August 2023 Housing Status Report for another SVP conditional discharge placement case, Liberty Healthcare themselves rejected a placement merely because it had "line of sight" to a church that 2 1

28 offered children's services. (Exhibit 1.) Accordingly, the court must consider proximity to children's activities to be a significant risk factor for the petitioner that jeopardizes his ability to successfully complete outpatient treatment and places the safety of the public in danger.
B. The Placement Is Near Children's Activities
In the course of fuither investigation of the Hauschildt address, the District Attorney and the Sacramento Sheriff s Office has gathered new information that shows that significant and frequent activities are held near the placement that involve children. Some of the community members that were contacted by the Sheriff s Office are highlighted below:
1. Blossom and Boots
Liberty Healthcare's Site Assessment notes on pages 2 and 3 that directly across the street from the placement is a farm called "Blossom and Boots," occupied by a family of five, with three children ranging from 5 to 10 years old. It appears Liberty made no contact with the property owners. Since public notification, the People have learned that this property is a family business that sells flowers and other items from a flower stand in front of their house, as well as offering horse riding lessons at their horse trainiîg area. The owner and resident, Aimee, was contacted by the Sheriff s Office and advised that her family hosts pre-school events once or twice a month, during which children learn about agriculture and science. In addition, her property is frequently an areathrough which nearby children ride their bicycles, but unfortunately, there are no streetlights on Hauschildt Lane. Ms. Hunt further described in an email to the District Attomey, "My family operates a small family farm that also serves as an educational and recreational space for local children. We host a homeschool co-op, host regular preschool field trips, and open our property for neighborhood gatherings. With over 20 children under the age of 10 living here, our streets and homes are filled with young lives that rely on a secure and trusting environment to thrive." This email is attached as Exhibit 2. Here is an aerial view of the business, relative to the placement:

2. Lucero Organic Farms
Another noteworthy business is Lucero Organic Farms, located 0.3 miles to the east of the placement. Liberty's Site Assessment acknowledges that the farm hosts "periodic community events." The Sheriff s report provides further detail: the property is owned by "Curtis," who cares for an eight-year-old granddaughter. In addition, he runs the Lucero Organic Farms business, which is open on Monday and'Wednesday afternoons and features fruits and vegetables. Critically, this property is the venue for frequent community events that are attended by as many as 200 people, featuring family focused activities. According to the Sheriff s review of the business's social media account, this property hosted 10 events in2024. 4 1

A family also resides in a home two doors north of the placement, at 126Q5 Hauschildt Rd. Liberty's site assessment noted no children were observed at this residence, as they only saw a basketball hoop, but the Sheriff s assessment contradicts this. The property owners, Jeff and Celisse, are parents of three children under the age of twelve. They report at least one verbal confrontation with the prior SVP tenant of the placement, another SVP, and are concemed that there is yet another SVP being placed next to their home. From the placement's backyard, the petitioner would have direct line of sight toward this residence.
The parties discussed potentially limiting the petitioner from walking to the part of the placement's backyard to where he would be able to view this neighboring residence, but the Sacramento Sheriff s Off,rce is skeptical that any GPS device could provide such precise limitations within that small of an area. The layout is depicted below:

Her husband, Paul, also sent an email to the District Attomey's Office, which is attached as Exhibit 3. Paul expressed concern for his family's safety because his occupation, firefighter, takes him away from home from long shifts. He further described the co-up group: "My wife homeschools oir children, and she also leads a small homeschool co-op at our home. This co-op involves other young children from our local church, and it provides a safe, collaborative leaming environment.
My wife and I prioritize creating a secure, nurturing space for our kids and others, and the thought of having a violent sexual predator living nearby undermines that sense of security for all of us . . . Our neighborhood is full of young families with children who frequently roam the countryside and local parks. It is a place where children feel free to play and discover their world, often outside and in close proximity to each other. This environment is ideal for raising children, but the risk posed by the presence of a violent sexual predator in our midst would pose an unacceptable danger to the safety of every child in the area." This development is estirnated to feature approximately 200 new homes build within one to three miles of the placement. The estimated opening date is June 2025. A picture of the development location is attached:
The local community has access to information such as this that is not captured by a site assessment performed by an outside, state agency. Here, the new information shows that the proposed placement is not located in as isolated or rural area as it may have initially appeared. ilI. PETITIONER'S RISK PROFILE IS DIFFERENT FROM PRIOR SVP TENANT.
As noted by the Liberty site assessment, the placement was recently occupied by another SVP outpatient who was able to complete treatment approximately one year ago. The People observe that this SVP, identified for privacy purposes as "RK," did not have the same offense profile as Petitioner Dryden. Further research into this case identified that case as one that involves predicate offenses against only adult females and a diagnosis of Anti-Social Personality Disorder. There was no history of minor victims nor a diagnosis of a mental health disorder involving interest in children. Here, the petitioner's risk profile is specifically placed at risk based on the proximity to children at this placement.

28 IV. LA\ry ENFORCEMENT RESPONSE TIMES ARE LENGTHY.
As noted by the Sherifls Site Assessment, the proposed placement is located in an unincorporated area outside of the Galt Police Department's jurisdiction. Instead, the Sheriffls Office is responsible for the area, and it repofis that the average response time is approximately 46 minutes. This delayed response time is untenable for a subject that poses the type of risk that the petitioner does.
CONCLUSION
In light of the strong danger to public safety posed by the risk factors associated with the proposed placement, the court should exercise its discretion under Welfare and Institutions Code section 6609.1and reject the placement as inappropriate. The court should further direct the Department of State Hospitals and its agent, Liberty Healthcare, to continue to search for suitable placement for petitioner, including setting a new Housing Committee meeting forthwith to discuss options for fuithering that search.

ConcernsregardinghousingproposalforsexuallyviolentpredatorGALT'CA Dear Thien Ho,
r am writing to express deep concern regarding the potential relocation of a registered sex offender with a history of viorent sexuar crimes into our neighborhood. As a resident of Lego Lane (my property is directly across the street from the proposed property), I feel compelled to voice the serious rìsks this poses to our community's safety, particularly to its most vulnerable members-our chíldren'
Our neíghborhood is uniquely positioned as a haven forfamilies, and we take pride in fostering a safe' communityoriented environment. My famiry operates a smail famiry farm that arso serves as an educationar and recreational space for local children. We host a homeschool co-op, host regular preschool field trips' and open our property for neighborhood gatherings. with over 20 children under the age of 10 living here' our streets and homes are filled with you-ng lives that rely on a secure and trusting environment to thrive' The proximity of this individual to our property and others would significantly compromise this sense.of tj-t-l']ll; ot parents, we would no longer feel safe allowing our children to play leely outside or attend community events without constant supervision. Additionally, the arrivalof a registered violent sex offender could have a detrimental impact on the value of current homes and the new homes being constructed, as potential buyers must be informed of his presence' we understand the irnportance of rehabilitation and reintegration for indivlduals who have served their sentences' Howeveç given the nature of this individual's crimes and the demographics of our neighborhood' we firmly believe this location is wholly inappropriate for their relocation'

Sexual Violent Predator Placement Galt, Ca
Dear District AttorneYs Office
I am writing to express my grave concern regarding the potential placement of a violent sexual predator, Mr' Dryden in my neighborhood at 12655 Hauschildt Rd. Galt, Ca 95632. I recently became aware of this, and lam deeplytroubled by the possibility of this individual being relocated to an area that is home to many young families and children' My wife homeschools our children, and she also leads a small homeschool co-op at our home. This co-op involves other young children from our local church, and it provides a safe, collaborative learning environment. My wife and I prioritize creating a secure, nurturing space for our kids and others, and the thought of having a violent sexual predator living nearby undermines that sense of security for all of us.
As a firefighter, I am away from home for long shifts, often for a minimum of two days at a time. During these times' I am not able to be there to directly protect my family, and I cannot bear the burden of knowing that my wife and children could be at constant risk while I am away. The prospect of this individual living so close to our home, where our children and others often play, learn, and explore, is deeply concerning' our neighborhood is full of young families with children who frequently roam the countryside and local parks' lt is a place where children feel free to play and discover their world, often outside and in close proximity to each other' This environment is ideal for raising children, but the risk posed by the presence of a violent sexual predator in our midst would pose an unacceptable danger to the safety of every child in the area.
Given these factors, I urge you to reconsider any decision to place this individual in our community' The safety of our children MUST be the top priority, and placing this person in such close proximity to where children regularly gather and learn would be an egregious risk, I respectfully askthatyou explore alternative placement options that would better protect the vulnerable members of our neighborhood'
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further and would like to be kept informed of any developments.
Thank you for your time and careful consideration of this serious issue Respectfully

Dear Honorable Judge Brody.
I r,v¡ite to yor-r tociay regarcling the proposed relocatiot'r of a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP).
Chr.istopher Dryden, to the lural Sacramento commuuity of Galt. specifìcally, in this case. tl-ìe request for placement at 12655 Hauschildt Road. It is niy plivilege to serve as an electeci member of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, representing the Fifth District, which el'ìcou-ìpasses 650 square mi1es, inclr-rding f-our municipalities, established and grorving subulban neighborhoods, as *,ell as severai rural contmunities thr-oughout southern Sacramento Cor'rntv.
The task of fì¡ding suitable placements fbr SexLrally Violent Preclators (SVPs) is unclerstandably clifficult as the law imposes restrictions on where SVPs can reside. All too often, the CouLts, working with the Department of State IÌospitais, and their contractors, choose rural cotnmttnities over other options. Althougli Sacramento CoLurty is Mr. Dryden's Counly of Origin, he has no geographical or historical ties to this proposed relocation.
Mr. Dryden was prosecuted f'or lewcl ancl lascivious couduct with a minor and convicted of that crirne in 1998 and was sentencecl to state prison lor six years. Aftel serving tl-ris prison commitment, Mr. Dlyclen was rnovecl to the State Hospitai where he reurains today.
Wlrile state law lirnits placement within t/q mile o1' a school, irl the interest of pr-rblic safety I ask that you consider tl-ie location of the liumerous nearby schools in the commLurity. The proposed placerrent of this SVP is less than a rlile ar,vay ft'om Roberl L. McCaffrey Miclclle Sclrool and less than two llriles away fì'onr Marengo Ranch Elementary School, Lake Canyou Elementaty School a¡d Liberty Ranch lligh school. I question i,vhether this SVP ought to bc placed in anv community wjth a closc proximity to schools and a concentration of youths witli the risk of another ofïense.

The community of tliis proposed placement alread-v stluggles with linlitecl larv enfbrcement presencc and lengthy respollse tir-nes given the lernote, rural area. The presence olan SVP r¡,'ill r-rndoubtedly bring fèar ancl apprehension to the sulrounding neighbolhoocls. Tire resiclents of the Galt community shoulcl not have to accepl negative iurpacts to theil safèty, secttrity, and overall quality of life due to the placement of an SVP.
Sadly. it is the isolated nature of tiris location that makes tiris placement legally preferable but r.r,ill also place further strain or-r a fragile communily. Being in a more t'ttral conlttunity often tlleans a lack of immecliate access to emergency services and longer commute times to meclical providers, Broadband and telecoinmunication services are also limited. It is not an unfounded fear that emergency response would be difficLrlt ancl delayecl shor-rlci this individual create a problem or attempt to reoffend.
For these reasoils, I am asking the Court to reject this proposed placement and to not impose tl-rese impacts on the people of the Galt comlluirity. Furlher, I respectfuily sr,rggest that other alternatives be considered which would take into accotillt a location and settings r,vhere this SVP has some familial and/or community ties. where the safety of the surror, rnding cotlmunity can be assuLed, and where supportive selvices would be readily available and accessible.

The Honorable Kenneth Brody
Sacramento County Superior Court
720 9th Street
Sacramento CA, 95814
Dear Judge Brody,
Before you on January 3L,2025, will be a matter that impacts the incorporated community of Galt and its surrounding unincorporated areas wlthin Sacramento County. The proposed release of a Sexually Violent Offender, Mr. Christopher Dryden, poses a risk which I believe is based on several, critical a false premises relied on by Liberty Health Care.
First, the placement ìnto an unincorporated area means that policing services will be provided by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, NOT the Galt Police Department. Listing a response time of 9 minutes is not accurate as we will not respond to the subject property. The responsibility I have as the Police Chief of the City of Galt isto ensure that policingservices are provided to the incorporated areas of Galt' ln fact, any response to unincorporated areas for criminal activity or related issues involving Mr. Dryden will ONLY be provided by the Sacramento County Sherîff's Office.
Dryden within % mile of the city limits meansthat Mr. Dryden will need to make his way into the City of Galt for shopping or other activìties. Within walking distance, which is Mr, Dryden's only form of transportation, is an elementary school, a middle school, a high school, and neighborhood park facilities. Since Mr. Dryden's prior convictions involve children, my concern is for this vulnerable population. ln addition, my observations of the property and neighborhood revealed several childrenonpropertiesinviewoftheproposedlocation. lnaddition, thereisanequestrianfacilitydirectly acrossthestreet. Althoughldonotknowthespecificsofthefacility, lknowequestrianfacilitiesgenerally to be used by children of different ages.
Third, the access to social services and medical facilities is inadequate or virtually non-existent without travel into the more densely populated and less rural areas of Sacramento County- Elk Grove and beyond. 455 INDUSTRIAL DRIVE" GALT, C A.,95632

Honorable Kenneth Brody
January 2L,2025
There are NO urgent care medical facilities, and LIMITED social services, and transit optíons in South Sacramento County.
ln short, Liberty Health Care continues to use locations analysis regarding police services which is based on false premises. Galt PD will not serve this area; a fact heavily relied upon and assumed by Liberty Health Care. The Police Department does not, in fact, have the resources to provide extraterritorial services to unincorporated areas of Sacramento County, nor is that within my author¡ty and charge as a municìpalpolice chief in the City of Galt. ln addition, there are no relevant social services available to Mr.
Dryden in this area, it is adjacent to multiple youth-related facilities, and its placement is neither in the best interest of the community or Mr. Dryden. I ask that this specific proposal be denied and a more suitable location be found in a more urban setting which has more public safety, social services, employment options, transit, and amenities.
Thank you for your consideration,

Strong Opposition to the Placement of Convicted Sexually Violent Predator Christopher Jay Dryden in Galt
To Whom lt May Concern,
The Galt Police Officers Association (GPOA), representing the dedicated men and women who serve and protect the community of Galt, vehemently opposes the proposed placement of convicted sexually violent predator Christopher Jay Dryden in our city. This placement poses an unacceptable risk to the safety of our community, particularly to our children, and is entirely incompatible with the values and expectations of a safe and secure environment for Galt residents.
Mr. Dryden's proposed residence is alarmingly close to several schools and locations frequented by minors, including:
. Liberty Ranch High School: 1107 meters (0.68 miles) away. . McCaffrey Middle School: 1128 meters (0.7 miles) away. . Marengo Ranch Elementary School. 1342 meters (0.83 miles) away.
The proximity to these schools is an egregious overs¡ght that disregards the fundamental responsibility to protect our children from harm. Allowing the placement of a sexually violent predator in such close vicinity to schools jeopardizes the safety of hundreds of children and undermines public trust in the criminal justice system.
Furthermore, this proposed placement will unnecessarily burden our local law enforcement resources, which will be forced to monitor and respond to the heightened community risk associated with Mr. Dryden's presence. The community of Galt is a familyoriented city that takes pride in safeguarding its residents, and this placement directly conflicts with our collective efforts to maintain a safe environment.
We strongly urge the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office to reconsider and oppose the placement of Christopher Jay Dryden within the city of Galt or any other location that compromises the safety of children or the community at large. The GPOA will continue to advocate for the safety and security of Galt's residents and will not stand idly by as decisions are made that endanger those we are sworn to protect.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. We are prepared to take further action to ensure the safety of our community and prevent this unacceptable placement. 1 Sincerely,
,)

Re: Location of Outpatient Treatment for Sexually Vìolent Predator, Christopher Dryden [email protected] Dear Judge Kenneth Brody,
We hope this letter finds you well. At the January 1,5,2025, Board of Education Meeting, the Galt Joint Union Elementary School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved this letter.
We are wr¡t¡ng to express our deep concerns regarding the impending release of a violent sexual predator into our community of Galt. lt has come to our attention that the District Attorney's Office is considering placing Christopher Dryden in outpatient treatment at 12655 Hauschildt Rd, Galt, CA. This location is in close proximity to multiple schools and young student populations. The following four schools are less than two miles of the proposed treatment location:
1,. McCaffrey Middle School is within 1 mile
2. Liberty Ranch High School is within 1.3 miles
3. Marengo Ranch Elementary School is within 1.6 miles
4. Lake Canyon Elementary School is within L.7 miles
The nature of this offender's previous crimes with a child under 14 years of age poses a significant threat to the safety and well-being of our children in the Galt community. The safety of our students must be our utmost priority, and the potential risks associated with having such an individual living nearby cannot be underestimated.
The prospect of this predator's presence in our community raises serious questions about the measures in place to safeguard our children and the thousands of students that attend school within walking distance of Mr. Dryden's proposed residence.
We urge you to take this matter seriously and consider the implications for public safety. We believe it is essential for our local authorities to implement stringent supervision and monitorlng protocols for individuals of this nature.
We must work together to ensure that our children can attend school and play in their neighborhoods without fear. Please reconsider placing Mr. Dryden in the community of Galt.
We thank you for your attention to this urgent matter

This ctose proximity also poses a concern because students watkto schoot and back home every day. They atso watk to the nearby shopping centers on Twin Cities Rd on their breaks and after schoot.

Placing a sexually violent predator in this area puts the community at unnecessary risk. I urge the court to reconsider this placement and find a more secure and suitable location.

To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter in opposition to the placement of the sexually violent predator that is to be placed on Hauschildt Rd in Galt. I frequently visit the home across the street with my 3 young children for a homeschool co-op and t know that family in particular would be devastated to have their 3 children exposed to the possible threat and with the placement of this person in this area I would no longer feel safe having my children be in this area at all. This particular family has been welcoming and has opened their home to the community- teaching and giving back. I have lived in this community my whole life and know a handful of families that have children that live along that road and very close side streets' Not to mention the 3 schools that are in very close proximity-within walking distance. Praying th¡s gets reconsidered and able to find a more secluded area to place this person.
Thank you for your time,
Morganne

Dear District AttorneY's Office,
This message is in regards to the sexually Violent predator(sVP) that is being considered for our community of Galt at 12655 Hausch¡ldt Rd
I would like to briefly introduce myself. My family and I live in Galt, just on the outskirts of city limits in the county' My mother-in-law, who is a single woman, lives on the corner of Hauschildt Road and Esada court. My wife and I líved in the second home lived on her property for a few years while we were building our home' My wife' mother-in-law' and myself are all real estate brokers and own the number one real estate office in Galt for the past 29+ years' I share this with you so you are aware of my intimidate and extensive knowledge of Galt and each of its neighborhoods' I have included a few maps with this emaìl which I will reference throughout my letter' The home that is being considered for this SVP is located within the neighborhood named "The Meadows Ranchettes" which is one of Galt,s most sought after communities. The Meadows is about 1'5 miles in length total and holds about 35 mostly luxury ranchette style homes. lhave sold a handful of the homes in this neighborhood, and lived there, so I know there are at least 20 individual children that live throughout the 35 homes. ln any given day, you will find children "'fr;;lË *"rtine the neighborhood. one family in particular lives directly across the street from the subject property and has had issues with the previous SVP placed saying he harassed the youngest daughter' As you know, the Meadows is in the county district, but only a short walk across the street to Galt's city limits and suburban neighborhood' I understand the need for a home for this sVp, but I am convinced that this particular property was overlooked on just how close in proximity it is with other homes and families' Moreover, the subject property is within 1 mile of a high school, a middle school, and a large park' The East side of the city is by far the more population-dense side of our town. Someone with the tag of "sexually violent" does not sound like a great fit to be within a short walk to these places' I would like to encourage you to find a better fit for this person, for the safety of our children, families, and city' I beg you to not put the lives and wellbeing of our citizens at risk for the luxury of this Sexually Violent Predator' Sacramento County is very large and I know there are many secluded areas away from homes out there' When it comes to homes in the county district, this by far has to be the worst candidate' A concerned citizen of Galt,

This is my official wr¡tten opposition to the release of a christopher Dryden, a sexually violent predator to be released in my community of small town Galt.
My wife and I moved to th¡s small town where she is a 4th grade teacher at Marengo ranch elementary because we were looking for a safe and affordable area where we can raise our 2 boys to become up standing citizens' Willingly releasing Dryden into this community puts all of this at risk, I hope you can see the un reasonable rísk this presents for my family and this small town.

Opposition of Christopher Dryden house placement
Dear Judge Kenneth BrodY,
I am writing to object to the petition granted by the Sacramento Superior Court to have Christopher Dryden {sexually violent predator) placed at 12655 Hauschildt Rd in Galt.
Our family of 3 young children {all under 7) live in the neighborhood on Esada Court. We have over 18 young children residing in the immediate neighborhood off of Hauschildt who actively play outside, take walks, and ride bikes in the area. There are also many grandchildren who visit the residents frequently. I understand how this residence, being in a less populate d area, may seem like a good area to house a sexually violent predator, but the neighborhood has drastically changed over the past couple of years to include mânY Voung families.
I understand that Christopher Dryden may be recommended for outpatient treatment and that recidivism rates for sex offenders can be between s-3o%. However, I don't want to take the chance of my children being a stat¡stic. lt is prudent in any recovery to not put the offender back in a tempting situation where their willpower must be exercised daily.
I respectfully ask that we place him in a neighborhood with a more adult population and less young children who could fall victim should a relapse occur
Thank-you for your consíderation.
Respectfully,
Melissa and Aaron

Christopher Jay Dryden Placement
January 21,2025
To Whom lt MaY Concern:
The purpose for thís letter is to strongly encourage Judge Kenneth Brody to deny sexual Violent Predator christopher Jay DRYDEN'S placement at 12655 Hauschìldt Road., Galt, CA 95632' pursuant to california welfare and lnstitutions code 6600et al, a sexualViolent Predator (svP) is a person that has been convicted of a sexually violent offense against one or more victims and who has a diagnosed mental disorder that makes the person a danger to the health and safety of others ìn that it is likely that he/she will engage in sexually violent behavior.
SVp DRYDEN has been classified as a sexuallyviolent predator, he has prior sexual offense(s), a person under 14 (prior release date was in 2AO2l,and again will soon be released from prison for unknown sex crime(s)' ln addition, DRYDEN has been listed on the Megan's Law website as such. The purpose for the Megan's Law website is to inform the public that sexually violent criminals have been released into society and for the public to be to be on alert that the SVP may bring harm to you, your child or others.
* * I am severely concerned regarding the possible placement of sexually Violent Predator christopher Jay Dryden into our neighborhood (12655 Hauschildt Rd., Galt, Cn.). vly daughtel her husband and two boys are living with me' The oldest is 13 years old and is homeschooled. Hauschildt Road houses many young families with children ranging from the agesoftoddlertoyoungteens. WehavenosidewalksorstreetlightsonHauschildtRoad, andasaresultitisusedby the children in our neighborhood to play, skate, ride bicycles and walk back and forth to visit their friends. Many people come across Twin Cities Road to walk for exercise' Ground has been cut by the developer: Summerfield at Twin Cities to build 2l-1 new single family homes on 58 acres' These homes will be located along our Eastern fence line all the way back to the the house in question. within one mile of the proposed residence being
considered for SVp Christopher Dryden is, 3 schools (Marengo Ranch Elementary McCaffrey Middle School, & Liberty Ranch H.S), 3 parks, a Nursery Day care, a Senior Citizen Housing Complex, a Karate School and an lmpact Sports Center for children. This does not include all the existing housing tracts ¡n our area' I respectfully implore Sacramento Court Judge Kenneth Brodie to deny the placement of Sexually Violent Predator ChristopherJay Dryden at 12655 Hauschildt Road so our children and families can live in a safe environment' Respectfully

Christopher Dryden - SVP
To Sacramento District Attorney and Judge Brody,
I have lived in Galt, California since 2018. My wife and I are originally from Southern California and moved to Galt' california to be close to our children and grandchildren. The reason my wife and I decided to move to Galt was its small town atmosphere and slow lifestyle pace'
My main .on."rn, in reference to christopher Dryden a convicted Violent sexual Predator, is that this quiet community will be exposed to a very highly potential threat to not only my family, but the entire communityl He would be allowed to live in close proximity to schools, parks and my home! Please reconsider this from tainting our quiet town and ALL its citizens.

As a member of the Galt community I request that someone of this matter should not be released in this area considering the amount of schools that are nearby and food spots that are highly used by allof the kids. There is a Ïaco Belljust down the street from the address posted and it is where many high schoolers and middle schools go after school to hang out with friends. This would easily be within walking distance of this person if they are released there.
Galt is one of the towns l've seen with the most amount of schools and parks in such a small area. Our town of Galt is not b¡g and anywhere you go there are kids enjoying the wonders of our small community. I have many concerns with someone that has such a background joining our community' 1 Ma. Sexually Violent Predator Released in Sac County
Dear Sacramento County District Attorney's Office and the Honorable Judge Brody, I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed placement of Mr. christopher Dryden, a designated Sexually Violent Predator, at 12655 Hauschildt Rd, Galt, CA 95632.
First and foremost, this location is in dangerously close proximíty to Robert L. McCaffrey Middle School (less than one mile away) and Liberty Ranch High School (approximately 1.1 miles away), Children in these schools should not be subjected to the elevated risk that living in such immediate range of a sexually violent predator poses. Additionally, several community gathering places, local stores, and family-oriented venues exist nearby, which means that Mr' Dryden would have ample opportunit¡es to come into contact with minors. Even with GPS monitoring, these proximity factors greatly increase the chance of potential harm.
Furthermore, research indicates that transient releases have only a 50% success rate, underscoring the significant likelihood of reoffense or violation of release terms. Despite any mandatory supervision requirements, the high failure rate makes it nearly impossible to guarantee the safety of vulnerable community members-particularly children and adolescents. lt is essent¡al that the Court take into account the full scope of the risk to the public in its decision-making.
As a concerned resident, I believe that public safety should be paramount. Until the Court can offer stronBer assurances that our children, famílies, and neighbors will be protected, I respectfully urge you to deny or, at a minimum, reconsider placîng Mr. Dryden ¡n this particular neighborhood. Our community values its reputation as a safe and welcoming environment, and the introduction of a known predator so close to schools and community centers undermines that security.
Thank you for considering my concerns. I appreciate your commitment to upholding justice and ensuring public safety in Sacramento County.

To Whom lt May Concern,
I am writ¡ng to express my strong opposition to the proposed placement of a sexually violent predator (SVP) at 12655 Hauschildt Rd, Galt, CA 95632. This placement raises significant concerns for the safety and well-being of our com munity, particularly our children'
The proposed location is in close proximity to multiple schools, which are frequented daily by children and families' Allowing an individual with a history of sexually violent behavior to reside in such an area poses an unacceptable risk to public safety and undermines the sense of security that every community member deserves.
Research and common sense underscore the importance of maintaining safe distances between sVPs and places where children congregate. While I understand the need to f¡nd housing for individuals who require supervision and rehabilitation, it is criticalthat such placements prioritize public safety and are carefully considered to avoid creating unnecessary risks.
The presence of an SVp in our neighborhood would not only jeopardize the safety of our children but also cause significant anxiety and fear among residents. This could erode the trust and cohesion within our community, making it a less welcoming and supportive environment for families.
I urge your office to reconsider this placement and explore alternative locations that do not endanger the safety and well-being of our community members. our neighborhood deserues to remain a safe and secure place for all residents, especially our most vulnerable populations.
Thank you for your attent¡on to thís urgent matter. I trust that you will make the right decision in prioritizing the safety of our communitY.

Sexual Violent Predator Placement Galt, Ca
Dear District Attorneys Office
I am wríting to express my grave concern regarding the potential placement of a violent sexual predator, Mr. Dryden in my neighborhood at 1.2655 Hauschildt Rd. 6alt, Ca 95632, I recently became aware of this, and lam deeply troubled by the possibility of this individual being relocated to an area that is home to many young families and children' My wife homeschools our children, and she also leads a small homeschool co-op at our home.
During these times, I am not able to be there to directly protect my family, and I cannot bear the burden of knowing that my wife and children could be at constant risk while I am away. The prospect of this individual lÍving so close to our home, where our children and others often play, learn, and explore, is deeply concerning.
Our neighborhood is full of young families with children who frequently roam the countryside and local parks. lt is a place where children feel free to play and discover their world, often outside and in close proximity to each other. This environment is ideal for raising children, but the risk posed by the presence of a violent sexual predator in our midst would pose an unacceptable danger to the safety of every child in the area.
Given these factors, I urge you to reconsider any decision to place this individual in our community. The safety of our children MUST be the top priority, and placing this person in such close proximity to where children regularly gather and learn would be an egregious risk. I respectfully ask that you explore alternative placement options that would better protect the vulnerable members of our neíghborhood.
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter further and would like to be kept informed of any developments.
Thank you for your time and careful consideration of this serious issue Respectfully

Dryden 12655 Hauschildt Rd
Dear District AttorneY's Office,
This message is in regards to the sexually Violent predator(sVP) that is being considered for our community of Galt at 12655 Hausch¡ldt Rd
I would like to briefly introduce myself. My family and I live in Galt, just on the outskirts of city limits in the county' My mother-in-law, who is a single woman, lìves on the corner of Hauschildt Road and Esada court. My wife and I lived in the second home lived on her property for a few years while we were building our home. My wife, mother-in-law, and myself are all real estate brokers and own the number one real estate office in Galt for the past 29+ years' I share this with you so you are aware of my intimidate and extensive knowledge of Galt and each of its neighborhoods' I have included a few maps with this email which I will reference throughout my letter' The home that is being considered for this sVp is located within the neighborhood named "The Meadows Ranchettes" which is one of Galt,s most sought after communitíes. The Meadows is about 1.5 miles in length total and holds about 35 mostly luxury ranchette style homes. I have sold a handful of the homes in this neighborhood, and lived there, so I know there are at least 20 individual children that live throughout the 35 homes. ln any given day, you will find children and families walking the neíghborhood. one family in particular lives directly across the street from the subject property and has had issues with the prevíous SVP placed saying he harassed the youngest daughter. As you know, the Meadows is in the county dístrict, but only a short walk across the street to Galt's city limits and suburban neighborhood' I understand the need for a home for this SVp, but I am convinced that this particular property was overlooked on just how close in proximity it is with other homes and families' Moreover, the subject property is within l mile of a high school, a middle school, and a large park' The East side of the city is by far the more population-dense side of our town. Someone with the tag of "sexually Violent" does not sound like a great fit to be wíthin a short walk to these places' I would like to encourage you to find a better fit for this person, for the safety of our children, families, and citY' t beg you to not put the líveiand wellbeing of our citizens at risk for the luxury of this Sexually Violent Predator' Sacramento County is very large and I know there are many secluded areas away from homes out there. When it comes to homes in the county district, this by far has to be the worst candidate' A concerned citizen of Galt,
DevonI

Sexually Violent Predator on Hauschildt Road
Hello,
please reconsider your placement of the Sexually Violent Predator you want to place on Hauschildt Road in Galt.
This is a Family neighborhood with almost every household have children or grandchildren. We love to watch our grandchildren come over and play in the yard ,nd kno* they are safe. We wàtch our neighbors' kids go up and down the street to each other's houses to ¡"y da¡ly. Tne houses that are next to or across from this particular house have 3 and 4 small children at each house. There is a mentally disabled group type of home on Hauschildt, one house away. There is a home across the street that homeschools her children and has cohorts over weekly.
They are building new homes right behind this location and several 1000's more .6 lenths of a mile away next to Liberty Rantn High Schóol. There is thã only middle school in this town just .6 tenths of a mile down Park Terrace.
This is a fãmily friendly town, there are so many children in just this neighborhood. Not to mention across twin cities around the middle school and high school. There is an elementary school just a mile away also.
Thank you for your consideration in reconsidering Hauschildt Road' please do not þlace this Sexually Violent Predator in our neighborhood or in our town.
Thank you,

what did Mr Dryden do? Does he still have mental issues? what is the risk factor in releasing him? ls he remorseful for his prior actions? Does his doctor feel he has completely healed and can guarantee 100% that our children will be safe around him? Will he be allowed to walk around freely and visit parks and schools? Sincerely,

Dear District Attorney Thien Ho,
I strongly oppose the placement of the sexually violent predator at 12655 Hauschildt Rd' Galt' CA 95632, for the following reasons:
1. proximity to Families and Schools: The proposed location is near residential areas with families and children. Allowing the placement of such an individual poses a significant threat to community safety, particularly to vulnerable populations' Liberty Ranch HS - 1107meters or .58 miles
McCaffrey Middle School -7128m '7 miles

Future Summerfield housing Development 239m, .14 miles, or 780 ft
2. Rural Location Concerns: The Galt area is predominantly rural, with limited law enforcement resources. Response times in emergencies could be delayed, increasing the risk to public safety' Cellular phone signals and service, landline telephone services and lnternet connectio¡rs are unreliable ancl inconsistent. Should any element of his conditional release require the use of these types of technologies to supervise or monitoç failure is possible and - I believe -
imminent.
Additionally, the South County area of Sacranrento is monitored by the Sac Sheriff's Office' and the maplarea is very wide with typically one (J.) officer to cover. Service Area: Deita' ltiltonl-leralcl, isleton. Freeport, Lagurra We çl ;¡nd tlte Ltnin1orporaterJ ,r¡'e¡s r;f G¿lt.

Subject: Release of SVP Christian Dryden into our residential neighborhood Sir:
This letter is written to oppose the release of a known and convicted sexual violent predator into our residential neighborhood'
At one time this was a very rural neighborhood with an older generation of residents and very few children. The neighborhood has done a complete turn over in the past 10 years and now is full of n"* young families with many children ranging in age from 3 to 12 years old and a few older in their teenage years and there are numerous young grand ãnibr"n that frequent the neighborhood. Also, there is a Board and Care home for Autistic and mentally impaireã children next door to the proposed site for Mr. Dryden' ln addition, there is a High School and an Educational facility for Special Needs children within a mile of the proposed dwelling for Mr. Dryden'
Lasly, we have 200 new homes under construction less than 118 mile to the rear of Mr' Dryden's proposed dwelling.
ln closing, considering the information provided above, and the temptation to re-commit his crimes, this is not a good fit for Mr. Dryden'S proposed residence' Your consideration in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you' JoeI

Concern of release
To whom it may concern,
My name is sadie I I am writing to bring the court aware of a concern I have of the release of Mr' Dryden' I have been best friend with one of his victims for *re-past 24 years. I didn't know her at the time of the crime but I have known how it has affected the rest of her life. This past year she got the call that he has the potential of being released and has lived life uneasy since. lt is hard to see this man that has had to spend his whole adult life locked away not holding a grudge against her. Having this man released is a very unsettling feeling for not only her but everyone around who loves and cares for her. lt,s also scary that she now has a young daughter. My dear friend has had a lot put on her these last couple years (yes it,s life and problems will arise). She has dealt with a tragic loss of her father as well as battling breast cancer. This man already has put a toll on the way she grew up and lives the nightmare of the crime with her everyday' The idea of her now having to worry about him coming after her and the constant stress that one day she could run into him or worse him coming after her or loved ones is not fair. There is a reason that he had been detained for years after his prison sentence was up and probably should be kept away from society.
I worry for her and her daughter's life as well as other victims and their loved ones' Please help my friend put this stress and unsettling feeling away' Sent from mY iPhone

As a resident of the neighborhood, living around the corner from the subject property on Hauschildt, I object to christopher Dryden residing on the Hauschildt property. ln our small community of homes between Lego Lane and Esada court there are ou.r. 20 young children in less than an .125 mile. our families are all very active and outdoors riding bikes, taking walks, and allowing outdoor play'
In our home, we have 2 small children ages 2 and 6, as well as a young adult daughter. I am confused about the intent of placing this person so close to an elementary, middle and high school (all within 1 mile or less) and directly behind ('1 miles) a new housing development being built containing a children's park and over 200 homes' I understand there may be a need to place this person, but I am pleading that you seek another home for this convicted sexually violent child predator. For all of the reasons above, we hope you consider the children and families at risk ¡f this person is moved into our small community. At a glance, we may seem rural but that is far from the truth' over the past 5 years, many of us moved into this community with young children' Thank you for your consideration' Joshua and Bethanna I

opposition to the Proposed Housing of a Violent Predator at '12655 Hauschildt Rd, Galt, CA
Dear Sacramento County DA's Office,
I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed placement of a violent predator al12655 Hauschildt Rd in Galt. This decision po.ä, u .ii*nóurrt threat to the safety and well-being of our community, particularly to its most luinerable members---o1¡r children.
The property at 12655 Hauschildt Rd is one mile (1.1 to be exact) from Liberty Ranch High School, as well as McCaffrey Middle School. These areas are fr.q"àt"a by families and children, who should feel secure in their surroundings. Allowing a violent predator to reside in s,rctr proximity creates an unnecessary and unacceptable risk' Galt is a close-knit community where families thrive, and children play freely in parks, sidewalks, and schoolyards' lntroducing an individual witú a history of vioient behavior into this environment undermines the community's sense of safety and security. Despite any monitoring measures that may be proposed, it is impossible to eliminate the potential danger this placement poses.
Additionally, the presence of a violent predator at this location could create undue stress and fear among residents' Many parents wiil feel compelled to restrict their children's activities, which contradicts the safe, supportive environment we strive to maintain'
I urge you to reconsider the proposed placement of this individual and explore alternative locations far removed from schools, neighborhoods, and areas where children and families reside. Our community's safety should be the top priority!!
Thank you for considering this urgent matter. I trust you will make the right decision to protect the residents of Galt' Sincerely,

I am writing to you to express my extreme concern about a SVP being potentially released to live at 12655 Hauschildt Rd' Galt, Ca. Ín¡s residen.à ir ¡n a neighborhood with a ton of children. Ñot only that but, this residence is less than a mile tom fUReg schools (McCaffrey l¡îOOte School, Liberty Ranch High School, and Marengo Ranch Elementary). ln addition to that, there is a large
-housìng
develoóment ptanned within .'14 mile from that home. That means that there will be even more small children-ín a very close proximity. I am a parent of a young adult with intellectual disabilities, and I know many other children and adults in the small Gált community with disabilities. These individuals are much more vulnerable and must be protected by all means possible. Groups of those with disabilities are often taken to the shopping and food area's that are on Twin Cities Rd, in wàtf¡ng distance of the Hauschildt address. These groups of people wìth disabilities are taken out in the community to provide-them with community experience, learning from spending money in public places, and learning appropriate sócialTcommunity behaviors. lf there is an SVP within close walking distance this will hinder the commun¡tV'OaäåO instruction that is such ân important part of these people's.lives' Having this SVP located at this address will cause others to make life changes to keep their loved ones safe. Why should we all have to change our lives in order for this SVP to live on Hauschildt Rd? Please consider another location that is not going to be near children or vulnerable people' 1 Ma. Jonathan

Dear District Attorney/Judge Kenneth Brody
I am writing today to express my very strong opposition to the proposed placement of the Violent Predator at 12655 Hauschildt Rd. in Galt, cA. This Decision surely poses a significant threat to the safety and well being of our community, particularly to ¡ts most vulnerable members--ouR cHILDREN. The property at 12655 Hauschild Rd. is situated alarmingly close to residential neighborhoods and schoolsl Furthermore, My son's residence is situated right next door at (12605 Hauschildt Rd.) to the proposed housing sitel My son and daughter-in-law have three young children ages twelve' ten and five and despite any monitoring measures that may be proposed, it would be virtually impossible to eliminate the potent¡al danger to my family in addition to surrounding neighbors. Also, there are approximately two hundred young children ín this area, it's a place where they tend to congregate to engage in normal daily childhood activities and it would create undue stress and fear for their own safety which contradicts the safe supportive environment this neighborhood strives to maintain. Again, allowing a violent predator to reside in such close proximity creates an unnecessary and unacceptable risk! The Department of state Hospitals offer the "conditional Release Program" to the violent predator and the "Department of state Hospitals,, hire a state contractor "LibertyHealthcare" to find a proposed site to place a violant predator however, they did not interview any of the close surrounding neighbors to discuss any possible threats or dangers that could possibly arise before going forward with their plan. lt appears to me that "LibertyHealthcare" come into unsuspecting communities and employ a disturbing placement strategy in which full details of where they are leasing homes for sexually violent predators are kept secret from neighbors, school officials and even local law enforcement then later after the leases for homes are signed they slowly release details and a community is ripped apart' The decision making process surrounding the placement of this predator has been unclear and the lack of transparency only fuels public disÛust.
so I urge you to reconsider the proposed placement of this individual and explore alternative locations far removed from schools, neighborhoods and areas where children and families reside. Safety should be the top priority and the governing agencies should have disclosed all relevant information so that our community could have made informed decisions on the matter'
Thank you for considering this urgent matter
family communitY of Galt, CA.
Sincerely,
Lindal
I trust you will make the right decision to protect our children and our 1 Ma. Jonathan

Hello,
My family and I have lived in our small c¡ty of Galt going on 4 years now' We love the tight-knit community and the whoresome vibe that it portrays. wit', tt ri said the word has spread wide and fast among our citizens as r am sure you have received severar emairs regarding the potentiar rerease of a sexually violent predator into our community, At this point r am arso =ur"1hr, most of the correspondences you have received lists out the obvious reasons why this is not a good idea including the amount of schools and children in the area as weil as the amount of uneasiness that someone rike this instilrs in the community. r do not need to elaborate on those reasons from our communitie, ,a"nàpoint as you have. heard those already. I would like to key on the individual and the attention that the person will undoubtably encounter with the news of his release here. lt should be a concern of your department that this p.:r:n will get very negative attention especially once he is known. lt would not be fair to this person to drop him off in'a small city where everyone would know his face and he wourd most rikery not be abre to wark into our rocar savemart or library w¡thout people visibry isorating or targeting him. This type of attention alone courd cause the individuar to retariate and revert back to his ways. r wourd assume rereasing an individuar rike this in a rarger community or city would go fairly unnoticed and not put such a stress on n¡m that may otherwise ue avordld. r befieve it is in the individuals best interest to not reside in a small city or town anywhere but especially in ours' prease reconsider your initiar decision on this issue tak¡ng into account the impact on the individual as well as this smallcommunitY'

There had to be a reason ih. o¡rtr¡.t Attorney's office petitioned to have Mr' Dryden o"rignut"d as a sexuallyiiolent predator when he initially finíshed his sentence' I hope you consider the unintended consequences of having someone like Mr' Dryden in a community with multiple schools on this side of town. lf the unthinkable were to happen and Mr' Dryden were to find another victim' there are no support services like hospitals or even resource centers ùke planned Parenthood in our area' lt should also be noted that the city has a percentage of undocumented citizens which causes a Sreatêr risk as they are less likely to come forward if they are harmed for fear of deportation and being ousted. rt sñour¿ arso be rroted that this city still has rural areas whieh poses a greater risk for having someone like Mi Dryden in our community as the police are less likely to patrol as they do in metropolitan cities like Elk 6rove and Sacramento' while I do not have children, I know the direct impact that these predators have on children and innocent vÌctims as I have worked my entire career as a Title lX officer. On any given afternoon, around 3:00 p'm'' you can observe numerous students walking home along Twin cities Road, right near Hauschirdt noa¿. rt is ararming and baffring that this foot trafflc, coupled wíth the close proximity to schooliand parks, seems to have been overlooked during the 5¡te evaluation' Furthermore, this proposed location is it-suited due to the rack of resources necessary to ensure effective oversight and pubric safety. As parents, we are deeply troubled by the decision to place this individual so close to multiple schools and residential areas. we berieve this action is norin-tt u best interest of pubric safety, particularly the safety of our children.
The proximity of rhis housing placementto schools creates an unâcceptãble riskto the well'being of our children' We strongly believe that placing a sexuaily violent predator in an area with such high concentrations of children and families directly contradicts your oiTìce's gãal åf ensuring the safety and security of families' we trust that the Dis*ict Attorney,s office wilt take all necessary precautions to protectthe public from individuals who pose a threat to our safety, and therefor. otg" vot to reconsider this placement and look lor alternatives that will prioririze ttre securÇ "f ó". community wiriÏe ãtso meeting the needs of public safety' Thank you for your time and attention to this important matter' We sincerely hope that you will take our concerns into account and act in the best interest of our community' Sincerely,

Oppoiition to the Placement of a Sexually Violent Predator in Galt I am writing to strongly oppose the proposed placement of a sexually violent predator in Galt. As a small to*í, Cårt has a ctbse-knit cómmunity with many famities, children, and young people who live in close prox¡m¡ty to the proposed location. This decision raises significant concerns for the safety anJ werl-uein'g oi our res¡dents, particularly our youth' The proposed placement is less than a mile away from an elementary school' a míddle school, and a rr¡gh school, all of which are attend-ed by children and young adults' .
Additionally, there are daycares in the area and numerous families with young children living in the immediate vicinity. The safety of our community members' especially our children, must be a PrioritY.
Given the potential risks involved, I urge you to reconsider this placement' Galt's smalltown setting, withìts ãán"" populatiòn-ofþuth and families, is not an appropriate-location for such an individual. The ptað"*"r't woúl¿ pose a significant risk to the safety of our children, who deserve to grow up in an environment free from such threats' I respectfully request that you take into account the unique characte-ristics of our community and prioritize tÉe safety of Galt's families when making this decision' To Whom it May Concern,

Galt - Sexually Violent Offender
To whom it maY concern,
As a member of the Galt community with a child living in the area, r ,e are opposing a violent sexual offender being added to our communitY.
The location listed is .7 miles from Mccaffrey Middle school where our child walks home from school every day' while the california Law is ,5 Míles, that ¡s not accounting for children walking home or being out playing with their friends after schoor. usuaily on the¡r own and in this econãmy both parents usuaily have to work. This arso doesn't account for summerfierd housing deveropment that is onry .14 mires. and .6g mires where our chird wirl be going to High school' sexually Violent offenders have no reason to be anywhere near people, especially children this close, in a small town where kids actually still go outside to play on their own. This is a danger to our community' Please reconsider our town as a placement for this offender' 9 /

Dear DA,
please consider locating sVp Dryden in another county. we are a growing, family community' since we are more outside Sacramento, many families with young children can afford to live here. This will put so many children at risk' since we are a smalleç rural community, svP Dryden would be this close to schools:
Liberty Ranch HS -1107meters or.68 miles McCaffrey Middle School -1128m .7 miles Marengo Ranch Elementary1342m .83 miles And thís close to a new housing development that will include many young families:

SÊXUALLY VIOLENT PREDATOR BEING RELEASED INTO SACRAMENTO COUNW Hi,
My name's Joseph I My wife, Brittany I and I would like to express our Srave concerns about the sexually víolent preJatoi ¡e¡ng released in the city our family calls home' We have one 14yr old daughter who attends McCaffrey middle school which is 0.7 miles from proposed location that the sexually violent predator would be residing. We have recently started allowing her to walk to school as it is only 0'3 miles from our home. Her safety and the sãfety of children like her, we would hope would be of the most importance to the individual or individuals who decide on an issue of this magnitude.
We have a 10 yr old daughter and a 9 yr old son who attend Marengo Elementary which is 0.83 miles from proposed location the sexually vioþnt predator would be residing. They also walk to and from school as we live directlY across the street from the school. I also see numerous kids their [e on a daíly basis walking to and from school' Their safetv and the sâfery of children líke them, we would hope would be of the most ¡mportance to the individual or individuals who decide on an issue of this magnitude'
please, consider my children's and all the children's in this town safety when deciding on this issue' We, as most families, strongly OPPOSE the idea of a SEXUALLY VIOLENT PREDATOR being housed in our small commun¡ty.
Thank you,

Sexualiy Violent Predator Release - 12655 Hauschi{dt Rd Galt' Ca Hello,
I am writing to raise concern with the proposed placement of a sexually violent predetor at 12655 Hauschildt Road in Galt, ca. r live at 10712 Esada Rd, less than 390 yards away from this residence. I strongly urg€ the DA's offìce to identify a different location. 12655 Hauschildt may seem remote and an ideal choice but there are multiple issues with this selection that should be considered:
1, lt is located in a rural and secluded area within 400 yards of 11 families with 3+ children who all regularly walk' ride bikes, exploreinthefieldsaroundandplaydirectlyadjacenttothehome.
2. lt is with¡n 25 yards of 3 families w¡th children'
3. lt is located near 2 community businesses that regularly host outdoor family events' one directly across from the residence (Lucero Farms and Boots and Flowers raräs), Additionally, there is å not. for handicapped adults just south of the empty field adjacent to the home'
4. Given the low crime and rural nature of the community there is very little law enforcement presence and it is on the extreme edge of Sacramento County's Sheriff district'
5. I regularly travel for my work, leaving my wÎfe and two children alone' I can be reached via this ernail address, mail, or my cell phone for further OetaitsJ while I understand the need to place people who have served their tíme, I cân not think of a worse location to place a person convicted for a sexually violent crime than this house. lt ticks all the boxes for enabling potent¡al recurrence (remote, close proximity to females + children + and mentally handicapped adults' limited law enforcement presence at a jurisdictional border, and close proximity to high traffic family businesses)' Subject:

I am writing this email to inform you of my concerns regarding the svp you intend to house near tw¡n cities' ls the sheriff,s office aware of how many schoors and chirdren are in that area arone. r do. There are 3 schools within walking distance alone from that location. A high ,.r,ooii.J miles away, a middle school 0'9 miles away and an elementary school 1.g mires away from where you wourd rike to prace svp Dryden. Estimated at nearly 500 kids at each school' My concern is first and foremost for our youth whom many of which walk to and from school everyday' lf parents no ronger feer secure with the¡r chird warking and ca n't offer transportation the absence rãtes ãt our schools will soar while oür test scores prummet. chirdren are already battring to get back on track after covidlg forced them to fall behind' lt's aninjusticetoourlocalcommunitytoforcetheworryofasvpanywherenearthesechildren.
Furthermore our community is centered around children with parades and community events catering toward said chirdren. Moving a svp ¡nto Gart courd change a, of that, The freedom our chirdren have shouldn't be put at risk to cater to a violent predator who already had his chance to make the right decisions and failed to do so' According to the united states sentencing commission over óo percen t (6g'8%) of violent offenders recidivated by being rearrested for a new crime or for a vioration of supervision conditions' Violent offenders rãcidivated more quickly than non-violent offenders' Based on these facts, Would you be willing to allow this SVP to live in your n"¡gf1¡OaftOOd? Placement in Galt, CA
To whom it maY concern:
I am extremely alarmed by a recent statement by the county that a sexual predator would be allowed to live on Hauschildt Road in Galt. This commun¡ty has sevlral schools only a short distance fiom this placement location, meaning there are many, many children traveling to and fmm schools ani local businesses' How in the world is this a safe thing for the children of the communitY?
within a three-mile radius of Hauschildt Road there is a hißh school, middle school, and three elementary schools' what a horribly inexcusable, irresponsible, and immoral ptan to lt".e a sexually violent predator in the radius of thousands of children!
lf your children or any children you cared for were anywhere in this area, l'm certain this would not be happening' This must not be allowed. please do Nor allow the placement of this disgusting criminal in this community and keep our communities safe from sexual predatorsl

ú;g;"; Con..rn Regarding Proposed Placement of Violent offender in Galt Dear District AttorneY's Office,
I am writing as a concerned resident of Galt regarding the proposed placement ;f a convicted violent sexual offender in our community' While I understand the challenges in finding approprilte housing for such individuals, I strongly urg; your office to reconsider this location, as it poses serious risks to our small city'
Galt is a close-knit, family-oriented community with ma.ny children' elderly residents, and families who prioritize safety and security. The introduction of an individual with a violent sexual history into lhis environment could result in significant negative impacts' including:
7. Threat to public safety: Individuals with violent sexual histories often require close monitoring. Galt lacks the necessary resources to provide the level of supe.oñion needed to mitigate risks, putting residents at Potential harm'
2. Impact on rr{ental Health: The presence of such an individual would likely create heightened fear and anxiety for parents' caregivers' and vulnerable fiopulations, undermining the trust and sense of safety that defines our community'
3. Proximity to schools and Parks: Galt has numerous schools' parks' and famity spaces, which makes the placement of a high-risk offender here particularly alarming'
22 As a small city, Galt is ill-equipped to handle the supervision and support this individual *o.ld iequire. I respectfully a¡l-< Vour office to consider alternative placements in areas better suited for such cases, such as facilities designed for high-risk individuals or communities with more robust resources'
I arso urge you to invorve Gart residents in this decision-making process, as transparency and community input are vital in matters itr"t significantly impact public safety'
Thank you for your attention to this critical issue' I hope you will prioritize the ,"r"ay and weil-being of Gart residents as you deliberate on this matter.
Sincerely,
Christina

Community Concerns Regarding the Placement of Christopher Dryden in Galt Sacramento District Attorney's Office
901 G Street
Sacramento, CA95BL4
Dear District AttorneY,
I am writing to express my deep concerns about the proposed pracement of chriitopherDrydLn, a Sexuaily violent p¡edator (SVP), in the Galt area, particularly at L2655 Hauschildt Road' As a resident of this communily, I feel compelled to voice the significant safety and resource concerns associated with this decision'
This location is within a mile of three schools: Marengo Ranch Elemenrary school, Mccaffrey Middle school, and Liberty Ralch High School. These schools serve hundreds of students daily, and their proximity to the proposed placement poses an alarming safety risk to ihildt*tt and families in our community'
Additionally, the Galt Police Department typically -op9t."tts with only
two officers on duty at a time, and this area is on the fringe of Sacramento County, often relying on the Sacramento Sheriff s Office for additional ,.rppo.t. The limitãd capacity of loc,al law enforcement to respond promptry to potentiar inciãents amprifies the risk to public 24 safety, especially considering the severity of Mr' Dryden's criminal history.
While I understand the legal and procedural requirements in place for SVP release and treatment, the selection of this particular location undermines the safety of children and families in our community' It also places an undue turden on local law enforcement' educational institutions, and residents who now face heightened fears and potential risks'
I urge your office to reconsider this placement and advocate for a more suitable location that does not jeop ardize public safety' community members like myself trust that our concerns will be given serious consideration in lighi of the potential consequences this decision could have on our families and schools.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate an opportunity to discuss this further or to be informed of any actions taken in response to these concerns'

SexuallY Violent Predators
For too long, the state has been sneaking around.ttyilq to release or parole dangerous sexually viorent predators (svps) and rapists in ,Ërìoãniiãtneigïnorhoods. senate Minority Leader Brian Jones is committed to reforming the svp råtease anipracement process so that pubilc safety is top The Problem
A Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) is an individual convicted of a sexually violent offense and diagnosed with a mental d¡sàrdei that causes them to be a dangef to oihers with a high likelihood to reoffend.
When an SVp is recommended for conditional release, the Department of State Hospitals (DHS) is responsible for coordinating their r.l""rä pi.r"r"nt. ôHs ttui often tried to duck their responsibility by giving their vendoir, iu"¡ as Liberty ffätttt.àt., the freedom to place SVPs in unsuspecting communities across California.
Senate Minority Leader Jones's Audit of the Department of State Hospitals and the Mismanaged SVP Release Program
On Octobe r 15,2}24,the Cal¡fornia State Auditor relea.sed an audit reperrt exposing the dangerous sexualty Violent prejator conditional R;l;à;; progr.r (svP coNREP) currently overseen by the Deparrment ot state ùospitats (DsH). Ï.rããua¡t hiirrtignìs DSH's failures in properly overseeing its state contractof, Liberty Healthcare, despite paying the contractor armost $too million since the rerease program began. After years "f üùìi" *tcr"y over the reckress rerease of sexually violent predators (svp) intõ communities, s"n.iã v¡nority Leader Brian w. Jones called for this the audit last year. Click here to read the audit report'
27 ,,Today,s audit reinforces exactly what we've long been warning about:the Newsom Administration's Department of state Hospitals has failed to properly oversqe tñe dangerous sexually violent predator release program contracied out to r-¡oerty¡råartn.áir," said Leader Jõnes' "Over the last 20 years of a no-bid contract, DSH has paid Liberty Heálthcare nearly $93 million to manage just 56 individualsaveraging $1 .66 million per sVp. with this pri.. iug, cálifornians deserve real safety assurances, but the audit reveals criticàt'tapses in safety oversightãnd even re-offenses among released SVPs' This longstanding contract has allowed Liberty Heañhcare's performance to slip, while DSH fails to hold them accountable.>
,'As we',ve said all along, sVPs should be housed on staté property under constant supervision' as past governors have mãndated. The auditor's suggestion of transitional housing - even on statemonitored grounds - is a step DSH has stuO¡orn'ii resisted but deserves serious consideration' lt's clear the current release program fails to meet exþectations and safety standards. I look forward to working with the Legislature next yearto fix this piogrtrn, rein in Liberty Healthcare, and ensure DSH deliverã the public rãf*ty Californians expect and cleserve," concluded Leader Jones' After a year of anticifation, the Auditor's'report reveals shocking details about SVP CONREP' Key findings include:
Exorbitant Costs of the Program and No-Bid Contract
-From fiscal years 201 8-19 through ZOZi-Zg, DSH's annual payments to Liberty Healthcare for program services increased by77 p"rr*t, growlng from $5.á million to $9.4 million' (Page 28) -DSH has not been successful in obtaininj 6iOs to-pertorm program services from any vendor other than Liberty Healthcare since the prograrñ began iÅ zoOg, aitnougf' DSH has made at least four attempts to seek such bids. Sexual predator being released in Galt
Hello,
I have been a resident of Galt for over 35 years. please do not think it's okay to release a PREDAToR into our small town' I am absolutely opposed to his placement. F¡nd another town with more resources to address this' we have a very small police force and we would like to maintain the small town feel- including feeling safe. Galt is not the place for a violent predator. Let's also be real about the high probably of a re-offense. Keep our community safe and find another location' nachellef

Sexual Predator to be housed in Galt
35 To whom it maY concern,
I hope you have enjoyed your family time for the holidays. I am writing you about a concern I have with releasing the sexually violent predator, to my home town of 32 years, Galt California' Let me tell you a little about my family I am raising in this quiet charming town' I work at one of the local elementary schools where both of my young children attend. ln just one year mY oldest will be transitioning to the m¡ddle school here in town, which is down the street where you want to place this predator' My child is aut¡stic and very social with everyone. This is a major concern as a parentand a school.employee' I understand there needs to be a plãcement for this person but Galt is not it. This town is mostly elderly and young children! t understand there will be requirementsfor this person to live here, butthat's still unacceptable' There are so many what ifs.
There isn,t much to do for young teens and adults in this town so many of them walk around town or hang out at the local parks that are accessible to the rehab home that this predator will be at' ls this man going to be physically watched day in and day out? who takes him out in public to drs or to the local Walmart?
please think about how you would feel if some many who is sexually violent was to be released into your town where your kids and grandparents live who are unable to protect themselves' Thank you for your time' I look forward to this man not being put into Galt' CA' Yahoo Mail; Search' Oreaníze,.Conouer

Dryden release in Galt
Hello,
My name is Katherine I. l,m a married mom of four, a housing advocate and specialist with the state of CA' and a real estate broker. Galt is where my family calls home. My son, oalota (16), attends Liberty Ranch High School which is located at the intersection of Marengo and twin cities rd. Next to Liberty Ranch is McCaffrey Middle School' This is half a block from the intended release of christopher Dryden. The majority of the kids tend to walk home from school in this neighborhood since we live in a small town and people still trust their neighbors. Although you may assume that th¡s sexually violent predator is rehabilitated, l'm not.orfort.blu risking thatissumption with my child's (and my neighbors' children,s) life, I understand that you must find a place for him to be released but this is a terrible option due to its proximity to the school and to the children that walk home directly past that small rural street. lf the offender has no vehicle and he is walking as well, he wíll definitely be wafking around the children' Even when school is out' there are often children riding bikes and walking to the shops near Haischildt and Twin cities Rd from their rural or suburban neighborhoods.

Concerns r-.gurãing housing proposal for sexually violent predator GALT' CA r am writíng to express deep concern regarding the potential relocation of a registered sex offender with a history of violent sexual crimes into our neighborhoo¿. Às a resident of Lego Lane (my property is directly across the street from the proposed property), rfeel compelled to voice the serious risks this poses to our community's safety' particularly to ¡ts most vulnerable members-our children'
Our neighborhood is uniquely positioned as a haven for families, and we take pride in fostering a safe' communityoriented environment. My famiry operates a smail famiry farm that also serves as an educationar and recreational space for local children. we host a homeschool co-op, host regular preschool field trips, and open our property for neighborhood gatherings. With over 20 children under the age of 10 living here' our stfeets and homes are filled with you'ng lives that rely on a secure and trusting environment to thrive' The proximity of thrs ìndividuar to our property and others wourd significantry compromise this sense of securìty' As parents, we would no longer feel safe allowing our children to play ireely outside or attend community events without constant supervision. Additionally, the arrivallf a registered violent sex offender could have a detrirnental impact on the value of current homes and the new homes being constructed, as potential buyers must be informed of his presence' we understand the importance of rehabilitation and reintegration for individuals who have served their sentences' However, given the nrtrr" of this individual,s crimes and the demographics of our neighborhood, we firmly believe this location is wholly inappropriate for their relocation'
we respectfuily request that you and your department work to prevent this pracement and prioritize the safety of our children and community. please let us know ho* *" can assist in this process or participate in any hearings or meetings regarding this matter.
Thank you for your attention and understanding. we trust you will act with the safety and well-being of our community in mind.

Violent Predator release
To whom it rnaY concernr am writing to express my concerns over the potential release of a violent predator into our community' The potential release will be to Liberty Healthcare on Hauschildt Rd in Galt. This locator is less then a mile from our only middle school in Gart and according to Googre maps 1.1 miles fiom L¡berty Ranch uigh schoor. That means this person is only a needs to walk 15-25 m¡nutes to have easy access to hundreds of students. Two of which are my own children' As a parent ¡t is my job to advocate for the safety of my children and releasing this person does not help keep my children safe' There has to be a better prace that this person can go that does not give them easy access to tr^/o schoors- Please help keep the most vulnerable members of our community safe by finding another place for this person to go' 9 Ma. Publìc Concern regarding release of violent sexual predator Good Evening,
r have been made aware of the proposed rocation for the release of a violent sexual predator to 12655 Hauschildt Rd Galt CA 95532.
As a mother of 4 that currently resides 1.9 miles away from the proposed address , I personally would like you to
consider some of mY concerns.
Galt is a small town of only 26,000 people 31% of which are under the age of 18' Only has 38 sworn police officers to keep us safe and respond to our safety concerns. w¡th a small town comes limited resources including public transportation, shopping, etc. which will mean this person does not have many options when trying to "live" around this area.
This location is speciaty ress than 1 mires from a high schoor (r wi[ have a chird there) '934 students, the only middle schoor ( r wilr have a chird there)- 746 students, 2 eLmentary schoors (2 of my chirdren go there) - 552+474 students, not to mention numerous of parks. Many students ¡n the town walk/ride bikes to and from school' l,m sure at first glance this address is considered rural, however what you may not see is that just a hop skip and jump there is an act¡ve community.who want to trust their town and neighbors. roi the most part, this is a safe place to live' but I am not blind to see that this town is not equipped to manage to risk of a violent sexual criminal try¡ng to rehabilitate here.
prease hear the concerns of our community members and consider somewhere erse that this person can be adequately monitored and safely observed to make sure they will not commit another sexually violent act' Everyone has a right to rehabilítate, however, we as Galt residents also have a right to know we are safe' This placement would compromise this' Thank you for your time and consideration, Jessica I mother and resident of 6alt' california' 10 Good evening,
As a concerned mother of two small children I am NOT comfortable with housing a sexual predator in our small town of Galt. ïhis is supposed to be a cíty where our families can go out and not worry about the safety of our children' The placement of th¡s predator is wAy to close to schools where children walk home everyday, PLEASE place this predator in a different location for the safety of our children'

Concérnãd Resident - Sexually Violent Predator Housing in Galt' Ca I am writing with grave concern regarding the potential release of a violent sexual predator who is crirently being coísidereã for pracement in a residential area less than a 3-minute drive from five schools in our small, iarnily-oriented town' This decision is not only alarming but deeply troubling, as it could have devastating consequences for the mféty and wãll-b.i"g oiour childien, families, and the community as a whole' As a close-knit community, we work tirelessly to maintain a safe environment for our children to grow up in. parents and guardians choose_ to live here because it is perceived as a peaceful, secuie area where falñilies can thrive' However, the decision to house such a violent offender so close undermines this sense of safety and security, creating fear and uncertainty among current residents and potentially deterring future families from choosing our town as their home.
I am fully aware that the individual in question has a history of highly violent' sexually predatory behavior. The recidivism ratËs for such offenders are widely documented and disturbingly high, with many returning to harmlll behavior after their relcase' According to the u.s. Departrnent of Justice, the-likelihood of reoffending among those convicted of violent sexual offenses remains significant. When offenders with a history of repeat offenses are placed in close proximity to vulnerab.le populationslike, young childrenthis creates a dangerou, "rr1ri.on*rni that is both irresponsible and reckless'
This proposed decision raises serious questions about the extent to which research and thoughtful consideration have been uppti.o to this matter. The district attomey's office is entrusted with ensuring the safety orãil citizens, particularly the most vulnerable, such as children. In this case, ãlowing sùch an individuai to reside so near schools directly contradicts the principle of safeguarding our community' Rathgl than fostering a safe environment, this decision *orrrd undermine the trust that families have in the justice system to Protect them.
This is not a matter of speculation or fear-mongering-this is a rea[, legitimatl conceüt that threatens the rrery fatrric of our communitv. rt i* vital to remember that children are the most vulnerable members of ,o"i"ty, and tireir safety should be.the highest priority' The presence of a violent sexual predaior so close to elementary schools would 2 undoubtedly instill fear and anxiety in every parent and caregiver' This fear is compounded by the knowledge thát ttris inálvidual has a hist'0ry of repeat offenses and poses an ongoing risk.
If this decision tnoves forward, it will send a disturbing message to the community that the safety of our community, children and families is ;ot being taken seriously' It will also cast doubt on the district attorney's commitment to protecting the public from known threats. This is not simpty a local issúe-it is a matter of public tru¡t, and we rely on your office to make decisions that prioritize the long-term safety of all citizens' I implore you to reconsider this potential placemen!and take into account the long-term impact such a decision would ftuu. on tttËcommunity. Our town is growing rapidly' with young families increasingly moving here for its reputation as a safe and supportive environment for chitdren. Altowinf u tno*n viorent predator to live so near schools would undoubtedly have a chilling effect on the futuie of our town, deterring families from putting down roots here and raising their children.
I respectfully ask that you take immediate action to ensure that ow safety is protected and that your office reevaruates this decision in right of the clear and present dangers it poses to our communitY.

SVP release in Galt
Good day,
I am writing to you today to voice my concerns and objection to Mr. Dryden being released in Galt' I understand that he has served his Sentence, however, Galt is simply not the appropriate place for him to be released' Galt is a small community with many families. l, myself, live here with myiamily and would feel unsafe having someone who has committed crimes, such as Mr. Drydens, living near my family, Galt has recently been experiencing issues with homeless individuals performing lewd and lascivious âcts and bringing more people to this town w¡th a history of doing these kinds of behaviors ¡s just not acceptable. our police force is stiuggling to keep these individuals under control as is and having another individual that may relapse with these kinds of behaviors is just too much for an already overwhelmed police force. While I am sure the police force will say they can handle it, as a community member' I can say with certainty that they cannot based on my experience living here. Additionally, Galt has multiple housing tracts that are being built' meaning the population *ill-in.r"rse, further straín¡n8 an already overwhelmed police force' ln the few years that I have lived in Galt, many of the sexual predators that live ¡nih¡s community have had relapses and our youth have been placed in danger. I beg you, do not unleash another possible person who can relapse into an increasingly unsafe commun¡ty' while I value the importance of incarcerated individuals being able to reiniegrate into society, Galt is not the place for Mr. Dryden at the present time. I implore you to look elsewhere to release tvtr' Oryden' Thank you for Your time and 1 Ma. Jonathan (DA)
