G Planning Commission Special Meeting

GALT Wednesday, February 5, 2025 4:00 p.m.
Commissioner Gerling called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. The Commissioners present were Denier, Jones, Gerling, Johnson, and Jackson.
Staff members present: Interim Community Development Director Amie Mendes, Interim City Attorney Frank Splendorio, and Associate Planner Stacy Schafer.
PUBLIC MEETING:
SUBJECT: Planning Commission Training
RECOMMENDATION: Receive Presentation
ACTION: Staff Mendes welcomed the commissioners and briefly updated them on their roles as part of the Planning Commission and described what was included in their training binders.
Staff Mendes introduced Associate Planner Stacy Schafer as the Planning Commission Secretary and Frank Splendorio as the Interim City Attorney.
Interim City Attorney Splendorio gave the training presentation.
Commissioners were encouraged to bring up any comments or questions throughout the presentation for staff or the Interim City Attorney to respond to.

COMMENTS BY PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS/FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Commissioner Johnson asked commissioners to introduce themselves and provide a brief overview of their background.

Staff Mendes provided the Commissioners with a brief economic development update and advised Commisiones were advised to coma saft hey were interested in alerting the conference so. travel arrangements could be coordinated.
