3. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF AGENDA Move up 7a after Public Comment
4. PUBLIC COMMENT: Under Government Code Section 54954.3, members of the public may address the Parks and Recreation Commission on non-agenda items. The public comments section is for the Parks and Recreation Commission to receive comments; except for brief response to questions, no discussion or action may be taken on any item that is not listed on the agenda. Please limit comments to a maximum of five (5) minutes. Please fill out a speaker sheet located on the table inside the entrances to the council chambers and forward the completed speaker sheet to the commission secretary. Please state your name and city of residence prior to making your comments.

5. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES
a. Minutes of the meeting of March 12, 2025
• Commissioner Graham made a motion to accept the minutes of the March 12, 2025 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting
• Commissioner Brossman made a second to the motion to accept the minutes of the meeting of March 12, 2025
• All present in favor, minutes accepted
PRESENTATIONS
a. Development Fees
• Presentation given by Aime Mendes from Community Development Mendes explained Liberty Ranch Park Phase 1 park development, park fees and park design

Due to $600,000 cost overage in the construction of the park modifications had to be made to the park in order to meet budget b. Naming of Parks moved on the Agenda
• Director Solis went over policy established June 20, 1995 for naming of the City's Parks.
• City Staff solicited names from the public through the city's social newsletter, and an article in the Galt Herald
• City received 37 submissions and 1 from the developer of the Elliott Homes through e-mail.
• Liberty Ranch 1, Liberty Ranch 2, and Elliott Subdivision Ranch Park names solicited.
• Commissioner Brossman Motions Liberty Ranch 1 named Don Nottoli Park, Liberty Ranch 2 named Liberty Park, and Elliott Park named Freedom Park.
Commissioner Stahmer second the motion
• All present in favor, Names accepted

• Added to next Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Agenda c. Parks Overview
Parks and Recreation overview presentation given by Director Solis for the new commissioners to familiarize themselves with the department
7. NEW BUSINESS
a. Welcome New Commissioner - Brooke Stahmer -Moved to after public comment
b. Naming of Parks- Moved to Presentations Item 6b.
8. OLD BUSINESS
a. Parks, Recreation & Open Space Master Plan Update
• Comments sent back on draft recommendations for each park/facility • Preparing maintenance recommendations.
• Next steps are to discuss existing funding sources
