OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation celebrating April 28 -May 4, 2024, as National Small Business Week.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Attached is a Proclamation celebrating April 28 th through May 4 th, 2024, as National Small Business Week. Garden Grove enjoys a myriad of small businesses that contribute towards a sound and flourishing economic base. Small businesses have been recognized nationally since 1963 to encourage America’s entrepreneurial spirit and to support programs and resources through the Small Business Administration.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt the Proclamation celebrating National Small Business Week.
