Subject: Adoption of a Proclamation recognizing May 2024 as Building and Safety Month. (Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation recognizing May 2024 as Building and Safety Month.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Building and Safety Month is sponsored by the International Code Council to remind the public about the critical role of our local code officials. This year’s theme “Mission Impossible” is a reminder as well to raise awareness about building safety.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt the Proclamation recognizing May 2024 as Building and Safety Month in Garden Grove.
