Subject: Adoption of a Proclamation recognizing September 2024 as Hunger Action Month. (Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation recognizing September as Hunger Action Month.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The City Council has consistently adopted a proclamation annually recognizing September as Hunger Action Month since 2021. Attached is the 2024 Annual Proclamation, and a Food Distribution Overview for Fiscal Year 2024 that illustrates the amount of food distributed through the 22 partner distribution sites in Garden Grove.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to adopt the proclamation.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt the 2024 Hunger Action Month Proclamation recognizing September as Hunger Action Month.
