Subject: Adoption of a Resolution amending the City's Conflict of Interest Code pertaining to designated positions and disclosure categories. (Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to rescind Resolution No. 9822 -23 and adopt the amended Resolution pertaining to the City’s Conflict of Interest Code for designated positions.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The City Council adopted a Conflict of Interest Code on April 14, 1997, which incorporated the Model Conflict of Interest Code established by the California Fair Political Practices Commission. The code requires biennial review on even-numbered years. A reorganization prompted amending the Conflict of Interest Code, which was adopted under Resolution No. 9822-23. The attachment is an updated Resolution recommended to be adopted which reflects changes to the Salary Schedule.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Rescind Resolution No. 9822-23; and
Adopt the attached Resolution amending the City’s Conflict of Interest Code pertaining to designated positions and disclosure categories.
