Subject: Acceptance of Project No. S-1329 Roof Replacement at the Tibor Rubin Branch Library, as complete. (Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to accept Project No. S-1329 Roof Replacement at the Tibor Rubin Branch Library located at 11962 Bailey Street, as complete.
BACKGROUND
On June 25, 2024 City Council awarded a contract to Southland Roofing Inc., in the amount of $116,000, to complete the scope of work that specified replacing the roof at the Tibor Rubin Branch Library.
DISCUSSION
The contractor, Southland Roofing Inc., has completed the roof replacement in accordance with related plans, specifications and other contract documents.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The project was funded through the Building Rehabilitation internal service fund and was completed within budget. Accepting the project as complete will have no additional financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that City Council:
Accept Project No. S -1329 Roof Replacement at the Tibor Rubin Branch Library located at 11962 Bailey St. Garden Grove, as complete;
Authorize the City Manager , or designee, to execute the Notice of Completion of Public Works Improvement and Work; and

Authorize the Finance Director to release the retention payment when appropriate to do so.
