OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to approve a Cooperative Agreement between the City of Garden Grove and the City of Anaheim for the 2024 Arterial Streets Rehabilitation Project, Project No.
CP1376000.
BACKGROUND
The City of Garden Grove prepared a street rehabilitation project consisting of various streets.
A segment of the proposed rehabilitation project, Chapman Avenue from Harbor Boulevard to Haster Street, lies within the City of Anaheim boundaries. The proposed cooperative agreement includes the construction costs for Anaheim’s portion of the project, which makes up approximately four percent (4%) of the rehabilitation work.
DISCUSSION
The City of Anaheim has reviewed the plans, specifications, and construction estimate of the project and verified the work is within its jurisdiction. The City of Garden Grove will serve as lead agency and t he project cost for the City of Anaheim’s portion of Chapman Avenue , estimated at $105,000, will be reimbursed to the City of Garden Grove upon completion of the work, as stipulated in the cooperative agreement.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The 2024 Arterial Streets Rehabilitation Project is included in the Fiscal Year 2024-25 adopted Capital Improvement Plan budget and is funded by Gas Tax, General Fund , and the City of Anaheim funds.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Approve the Cooperative Agreement with the City of Anaheim for the 2024 Arterial Streets Rehabilitation Project, Project No. CP1376000 and; Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the agreement and make minor modifications as appropriate thereto on behalf of the City.
