Subject: Consideration of a written request from the City of Stanton for co-sponsorship of the rental fees and authorization to use the Showmobile outside of the city limits for the period of September 19-21, 2025. (Cost: $1,050)(Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
To submit a formal request on behalf of the City of Stanton for co-sponsorship of facility rental fees and approval to use the Showmobile outside of Garden Grove city limits f or the period of September 19–21, 2025.
BACKGROUND
The City of Stanton is submitting a co -sponsorship request on behalf of St. Polycarp Catholic Church for its annual St. Polycarp Family Festival, scheduled for the period of September 19 –21, 2025. This three -day community event features a festive carnival atmosphere with games, rides, food booths, and a variety of live entertainment for families to enjoy.
DISCUSSION
The City of Stanton, on behalf of St. Polycarp Catholic Church, requests City Council approval to waive the facility rental fees for use of the Showmobile from 9:00 a.m. on September 19, 2025, through 10:00 a.m. on September 22, 2025. Additionally, the City of Stanton is requesting authorization for the Showmobile to be used outside of Garden Grove city limits, in accordance with the Showmobile General Use Policies.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The total cost to co -sponsor the requested Showmobile use is $350 per day, amounting to $1,050 for the full duration. The City of Stanton is requesting a waiver of these fees as part of the co-sponsorship.

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Consider the co-sponsorship request from the City of Stanton, on behalf of St.
Polycarp Catholic Church, for a waiver of the facility rental fees associated with use of the Showmobile from September 19 -21, 2025, and for authorization to allow the Showmobile to be used outside of Garden Grove city limits.
