Subject: Adoption of a Proclamation recognizing Mark Surmanian and Maria Stipe for being named the 2025-2026 Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce Man and Woman of the Year. (Action Item)
OBJECTIVE
For the City Council to adopt a Proclamation celebrating Mark Surmanian and Maria Stipe as the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce Man and Woman of the Year for 2025-2026.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
Annually, the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce selects a man and woman who have given volunteer hours for the benefit of the community. Mark and Maria, each long time Garden Grove residents and business owners, are active with local civic organizations and both have been recognized and celebrated at the Chamber’s 118 th annual Chamber Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact.
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council:
Adopt a Proclamation celebrating Mark Surmanian and Maria Stipe as the Chamber of Commerce Man and Woman of the Year for 2025-2026.
